Aaron Rental, Sales And Lease, Aaron's Rental Unethical: Give account details to anyone! Dothan, Alabama

On Tuesday my sister went into the Dothan, Alabama store to make a payment for me. I had made arrangements with the account manager to pay 100.00 on Tuesday, the balance on Wednesday. <My social security would hit the next day> When my sister arrived she went to the counter and told the gal that she was here to make my payment. The girl asked my name, verifying my address. My sister was then told, in front of all the other customers etc...that my account was 90 days past due and that the gal didn't think she could take the 100.00 payment. The other sales associate at the counter who I have spoken with on the phone, is not only rude and very unproffesional, but very loud.

First and foremost, for any of you that have rented to own from Aarons, you know that they will be at your door if you are 15 days late, unless you have made arrangements. They will call everyone on your list and will also contact your neighbors if you are not at home. I have had Aarons people knock on my door for someone who lived two doors from me.

Now, I ask...would either of these two women like me to announce to the entire store that they are late on their payments to so and so? Also, having made arrangements means just that! I made arrangements with Joe regarding my account.Who are they to question his decision? and embarass both me in good name and my sister?  I am fortunate to have at least one person that I deal with at the Dothan store that is professional and does his best to work with you. But I pose this to the store manager, what if any training have your employees had regarding ethics? I am the account holder and all information is to be kept between me and Aarons, NOT Dothan, Alabama!

In some states if a company discusses your personal debt with anyone that isn't on your account, the item or merchandise is now paid in full.

As a side note here...the balance for the payment in question has still not been deducted from my card!
