I have been an Aaron's customer for over 10 years. I did an early pay off for a TV on 2/5/10. I paid $909.00 to pay the contract out. I went to Sam's Wharehouse on 2/7/10 and saw a very similiar TV for $358.00.


I called Aarons to return the TV and they said the contract had closed my account and it could not be accessed again. The Manager tried to show me a Termination policy in the Contract that stated no refunds after products are returned and account is closed. I had not returned the product, I treid to get this clarified with 3 levels of personnel to no avail. No where in the contract does it say no return on early pay outs.

Why would you even walk into Aaron's?  I don't mean to be rude but they specialize in charging the most to those with the least.  You surely learned your lesson.

In response to this report. a customer has every right to return an item to an Aaron's store up to the time they pay the item off. At that time the customers is given the ownership paperwork for the item they payout(similar to a car title.). At Aaron's we have a low price guarantee that we will beat any competitors price within 30 days of signing the lease with us. If you want to pay retail then we will match that price on  the same exact item. If you are making payments we will be beat the full payment price for that company. This customer was going to return the item but then decided to payout the lease instead. Also that this lease was signed 90 days ago to commit to the purchase price. Once the lease is paid out the account is closed. I did look at the at Sam's in question for $358.00 it is a 26" TV/ DVD player and the one the customer had from my location was a 32" TV/DVD LG. Brands,features and warranties make a difference in price.
