I feel like well i know that the store manager greg has and is still trying to rip me off harrases me for payments that i have already paid and continues to do so even after i told him to just take me to court if he feels that he is right. I leased a couch and loveseat from this store not to long ago, the store has a policy that if you move within a year of your contract they will move your furniture for you so when i decided to move from the location i was at i contacted the store to have them move the furniture, when they came with the furniture they could not get it to fit through the hallway which i feel if they had proffesional movers they could have done it one of the movers even said lets just take it over the balcony greg did not want to do that so he told me to come to the store pick something else out and he would transfer all the payments from the other couch to whatever i picked. From the second i came in the door he was trying to get me into a 2 year lease when the furniture i had was a 1 year lease in any case i did not want that, i was left without a couch for 2 weeks and when i finally found one that i would be satisfied with i called greg and told him what it was he told me to give his movers 99 dollars and we would be done so i did now the couch and loveseat i had was 12 months of 117 dollars the couch and chair i picked out had a sales tag on it for 399.00 cash i had already made 5 monthly payments not late once so the couch i had picked should have been payed for with just that but he insisted on that payment so i did and thought it was over, i never signed a lease saying i would be making anymore payments and a new lease was never brought to my attention now greg is saying that i signed a lease saying i would make 3 monthly payments on this couch i never did this!!! i started recieving 3 to 4 phone calls a day from this store waking me up after working 2nd shift then it proceeded to knocks on my door at 8 in the moning and 9 at night which i found to be very odd if i owed them why did he not take me to court and get a order for pickup since then i have now recieved a phone call from corporate saying that they will be putting this on my credit report i feel as if this is wrong they are trying to get me to pay over 900 dollars for a couch that was for sale for 399.00 i have yet to solve this matter with them and would not suggest doing any buisness with this company i also feel that the broad river store needs a manager that knows how to do his job not just to scam and harrass and rip off paying customers.

Company Response

AUTHOR: Kzaccardivpasst - (U.S.A.)

Below is a statement from the Regional Manger that handled this issue directly. According to our investigation the customer wanted our associates to do something that could cause a great liability to our company. The associates are trained professionals and know when a living room group will or will not fit into a space. After that issue was resolved the customer picked out a living room and failed to fulfill her legally binding agreement with us. Therefore the customer's account was sent to our renewal retention department. We will not address this matter in this forum any longer if the customer anyone has any questions or concerns about this they may contact our Divisional Office at 704-845-5064.
Thank you

VP Assistant
Aaron's Mid Atlantic Division

Customer called Divisional Office stating we WOULD NOT move her product. At 8pm I had the GENERAL MANAGER go out to the home. The problem was the set physically couldn't fit into loft apartment upstairs. The customer wanted us TO PUT IT ON TOP OF THE ISUZU TRUCK AND GO OVER Railing, obviously this was unsafe and we wouldn't do it. The reason the sofa was left by the last tenant was they couldn't get it out. The customer had her "father" call to complain, I told him and her we would do whatever we needed to do. They could pick out a different set and we would deliver it. He stated she HAD to be compensated for "PAIN AND SUFFERING"???? The customer then had her "boyfriend" call, again I told him that they could pick out whatever set they wanted that would fit and we will deliver it. She picked out a different set we delivered it and she did not fulfill her legally binding agreement with us after that. She charged off as bad debt and she says WE ARE WRONG??? Lowest prices, best products and guarantee total satisfaction. Customer simply defaulted on her agreement.

In there lease it states they will move furniture for free up to a certain amount of miles if you move, they couldn't fit one couch through the door way and over the balcony is not optional even though the movers were ready to use rope an pull it over but Greg told them no so they took both pieces of furniture back to the store already had the love seat inside scratched the walls taking it back out the apt. Now was ready to get us to sign a lease for 24 months transfer payments to make it 20 months we find a couch for $399 he says pay $99 with NO LEASE now he denies saying he wasn't gonna transfer payments weeks after delivery and wants us to fufill the lease agreement even though they have the couch we sign the lease for now on sale for same price minus $50 dollars in their store. The regional manager knows the district manager knows coporate knows i don't know what divisional office number is gonna do when they all agree with the gm.

I now work for Aaron's in a similar position. No way would i have let you pick out a sofa for 399.00 CASH..not lease.. And put it on lease for 3 months. Actually, in my region they frown upon it. Anyways, M'am Just ask the Manager for a copy of the newly signed lease if in fact he says you signed it right. He won't be able to give you that if u didn't sign it right? Second, they aren't gonna spend 500.00 for a replevin (court order) to enter your home with the police and a locksmith if the merch isn't worth at least 3 times that amount. Instead of getting hot with him i would have suggested to ask him for his divisional office number. (believe me) If he wanted to keep his job he would give it to you. But if he didn't give it to you, you look up another aarons around you and when they answer, just ask for it from who ever answers the phone. Hope this information helps ma'm. One thing AAron's takes seriously are customer opts......have a great holiday Ma'm
