Terrible company -
bought over 200 of stuff from them paid for it when checking out. then when got my items little by little there came another bill with it for the same price as the items for shipping. Making the items in their catalogs more expensive than I thought.

Also there were items that came that did not work, a file cabinet that came but when put together by following the instructions was cheaply looking and 2 weeks later I had problems with that piece of furniture.

Never will I buy from them again. It is a TRICK.

I will never order from this company again. does anyone have a diffrent number than the one that they gave because every time that i call the line is always busy and there is no other way of contacting them that i know of. i order something 9/2/05 the charged my card on the 9/8/05 and said shipped 9/08/05 but i have yet to get my shipment. i need help contacting them. thanks

Let's examine - They sent me a broken glass item, it would make sense to wrap it well, wouldn't it? Idiots.. But that's nothing, half of the order was canceled, get a clue people, take it out of the brochure or something! Then, I paid my invoice, and am now getting an alert via their site indicating that the account is past due..ha ha - It says call customer service, yeah like that will help - the phone has a busy signal all day - how convenient is that? I keep getting an e-mail saying my number is invalid, I make the correction over and over again on their website, but duh..keep getting the same e-mail from them. They will be on my e-mail block soon. This is the worst company ever, please someone get in touch with the business bureau in Florida and report these people, I might have to soon.

I've ordered in the past with ABC and had no problem receiving my merchandise, so I had no complaints. Recently I placed an order on two occassions, I ordered a wall clock which took almost 2 mons and a childs comforter which took 2 mons to receive. The clock, I'm not real happy with but with all the aggravation sending it back I chose to keep it and sent in my payment. Finally received the comforter (which was a christmas gift purchase, thank god I got in in time) during the 2 month wait I was sent a "PAST DUE" billing, after reading some of these post about all the "PAST DUE" notices being sent to costomers who hadn't received their items, I didn't panic, I just didn't pay for it until I got my merchandise. Upon receiving the notice I did make an effort to call their "so-called" customer service number only to find it busy, well I could go on and on but you all know from your own experiences with this company so no need to dwell on .. poor service, delivery, customer service, etc. What I really want to know is, where is this company really located and who are the people running these departments, seems like our calls, letters go unoticed, our merchandise used to be delivered UPS, now ABC uses the Parcel Post system. ABC, What happened? I'll NEVER place another order with this company, and neither will any of my family members or friends.

I have ordered from this company several times. Haven't had problems until last order. recieved my stuff,2days later got a bill saying"past due". I think not. Now I am waiting for my order that I placed about a month ago. I too will not pay for something I have not gotten. I also don't like that they ship things seperately- too much $$. I am losing my desire to order from abc.

ABC is a rip off. Not only did they NOT send items I ordered, they also sent a huge box of 500 crayons, and $30 worth of stamps I never ordered. Too bad for them I didn't give my real name anyways! I planned on paying by money order, but I'm not paying at all. My aunt warned me about the same thing happening to her, I should have listened. The joke's on them now!!!

I think abc is a pretty good company. I would not say that it is great because they do have their downfalls. They do not have good quality "wood" but we have to realize look at the prices. You can get a storage cabinet for 60 dollars. When have you ever known for good quality wood to be that cheap. People need to think before they buy instead of blaming it on the company

I've ordered items several times from ABC distributing & I haven't had a problem - ok I had 1 problem. I called, I got through, I explained my problem (item arrived broken) they sent me a new one and said - NO CHARGE & don't bother sending back the broken one. Customer service was pleasant and courteous and I'll order again from them for Christmas soon!

I've ordered from their catalog and my mother shopped with them for many, many years before me. I think they've been in business for almost 50 years so they must be doing something right! When I tried to get customer service for a broken piece, it was impossible. I waited on the line (long distance) for 20 minutes and then they hung up on me. When I submitted the request online there was no answer. I agree that shipping is much too high, when I inquired about it, they said it was the area that I lived in. Go figure, now you are penalized for the area you live in. I don't order from this company any more.

I have been dealing with ABC for quite some time. What stinks about them is if you order it takes a month or more to ship items out.No to mention how long you have to wait for the post office to get it to you. With your order they send you an invoice and expect payment immediately. Theywant payment within 7 days but they can't even get you your order out in a decent amount of time. They really need to get it together. there is no reson why anyone should have to wait 30-45 + days to get their orders. It's NUTS!

I have read a lot of complaints about the deficiencies with this company, from no 800 # to poor customer service and high shipping fees. What I have not read is where a single person has mailed a letter addressed to the president of ABC complaining and insisting on a personal reply. Many times when I have been dissatisfied with a company's performance, I write directly to the top person voicing my concerns politely and in detail and requesting a personal response. Not only have I received a reply but often I see a change in what I was complaining about. Try it, it works. At the very least you will have your problem solved.

Frames and Art work does not come with glass but a cheap plastic. Shipping sometimes higher than product. Does not ship items together. After 10 months of harassing emails and letters, which I anwered with hardly a response, they are taking me to collections for $25.90 worth of merchandise that was returned to them last October. They tell me to prove I sent it. I sent it via first class mail with a postage meter tape of $8.64. The mail lady picks up all my packages at the office and they are on their way. They told me to ask her if she had a record of it. Give me a break! The best I can do at this point is make sure every contact I know stops doing business with ABC.

They need to be put out of business. They are a total rip off!! If you get a human (low intelligence, but yet a human) to answer the phone yo are doing well. They have no 800 number, so be prepared to pay the bill for that call as well. None of their employees can help you when you do call. Where did my merchandise go? Out to sea in a hurricane? Possible, isn't it. Or did someone mishandle it when it arrived back at the warehouse? That's possible, too. So as a consumer, go elsewhere. You have been more than warned and well advised by reading other reviews. I have ordered from them for over 10 years and now they have lost a loyal customer. Oh well.

I have order some item from a.b.c. for the frist time .they wanted me to pay for it up front, so I did they were wedding item so you know i wanted them.that way I PAID.THEN I KEPT GETTING BILLED FOR THE SAME ITEM SO I tried to call them like someone said it took 45 min before anyone came to the phone.luckely i paid by check. so i know i have something if they take me to court. they need to get there act together.i will not ordre from them again

Of course I was stupid enough to stay on the line up to 30 minutes with no evail. There costomer service is terrible. They need to get that worked out quickly.

I'm being billed items I didn't get.And now they want a credit card to place a order. What 's up with this. Because I wanted to use my credit card Christmas. And I was told we not accpect credit cards. Checks or money orders. I tryed to place a $70.00 order and they wanted my credit card #. And I at Christmas ordered over $500.00 of gifts. And did not get $22.00 of my oreder but had to buy for it any way.

I have been dealing with ABC for over 10 years. The shipping always come late but the quality of there product is good. I have been billed for a item that I received but my product came 1 month late during the christmas holiday. I will continue to order from them but I do wish they can get a 1-800 number it can get expensive when you are calling them and you be waiting for a long time.

Customer service is bad. It is not a toll free number and the wait time is approx 30 to 40 minutes. The customer service reps do not care to help you and they break up your order and charge you individually for shipping charges on each item. They may send one of your items Federal Express and the 2nd item for that same order they may mail Parcel Post. By separating your order, you end up paying high cost to receive your items.

I really enjoy the items sold by ABC, and the prices are excellent...until you figure in the shipping for each individual item because that's apparently where the money is being made, on the shipping and handling. The Lakeside Collection catalog sells identical items for the same prices and usually ships all their items at once, for one general s&h fee. I will say, however, that a recent item ordered from Lakeside (because of continual backorder), actually took me 3 months to receive, though I was given the opportunity more than once to cancel my order should I choose to do so. If ABC is going to continue to ship its items separately, then the shipping cost should be listed beneath the sale price of every item in every catalog or settle for a sliding scale of charges as most mail-order companies do. It would certainly seem the more honorable thing to do.

Yes, they come in seperate boxes so of course the shipping charges are more. This is such a scam and it seems the BBB should get on this. If I tried to do this, I would be in jail.

I know this site is for complaints about ABC, (which I have plenty of). If you enjoy their items, Lakeside has exactly the same items at the same price. I ordered from them and received my items in less than two weeks, with no trouble. I removed my account from ABC and now will go with Lakeside.

I haven't had any problems with getting orders but when something does go wrong it is impossible to get a human on the phone that knows what is going on. Hopefully nothing will go wrong after reading all of these complaints or they will lose another loyal customer............

This has to be the worst company I have ever delet with. It is imposible to contact them. The shipping and handling charges are outragious. Items are sent on the same day and not boxed together furthering the shipping charges. After returning an item and, this has been established, they continue to send billings. They called me at 5:30 a.m. to ask for payment and I could hardly understand the person calling (not English fluent). When I tried to explain the delivery of items not received and/or cancelled by them and tried to explain I had just now received the one item and how could my account be deliquient, she was not helpful. It makes a person wonder how a company this big can be run by someone so fundementally deficient in regards to customer satification or accountability.

ABC is the worst company I have ever ordered from. It takes months to receive ordered items, the wrong items come or are broken. You can never reach them. I am also being billed for items I have already paid for. They send statement after statement wanting their money. I didn't receive Christmas items that I ordered the end of October, until the middle of January. I will NEVER order from them again.

We were sent a bill for an item already paid for. Since we could not reach a person on their long distance number, we faxed them a copy of the check, which had cleared, and a copy showing that the check had cleared. We still received two more letters demanding payment for $23.86. We again sent them the information and just today received another letter demanding payment. These guys are unprofessional and really shouldn't be in business. In my opinion, their actions and the way they conduct business are criminal

I send registered letter but I am still getting billed an harrassed. this was a church account and I am so upset with this company. bad customer service. If you see that you can't get through to them, start calling them constantly, send letters, spam them, do what it takes for them to hear you out. Perhaps they will get the picture they can't screw you guys over, thats exactly why they ship the way they do, cutting corners doesn't make customers happy, resolving their orders in a timely manner does. If you call in get emails, harrass them to get results. And from now on, don't be anonymous, it's not like they will read what people will say, or else by now, a lot of issues would have been straightened out by now. Many of you must hate to get those 'delincuent' notices, so for every one you get, send them an unsatisfied customer letter. Thanks for reading.

The handeling and shipping charges far outreaches any saving you may get on your merchandize. There is no way you can get a phone number or any kind of correspondence from these people. i work for a large middle school, at first everyone loved abc, but when they saw the shipping charges and how they ship(1 item at a time),i don't think anyone will ord from them again, especially me! what a ripoff!!!!!

Worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Ordered three items from this company and all the items broke within a week. Very poor quality!!! Shipping charges are the worst. This company ships items one at a time (even if you place as one order) so you have to pay the high shipping each time. Way high!!!! I will never deal with them again!

I receive notices that merchandise is shipped; it takes 20 to 30 days for it to arrive. A day after delivery I receive a past due. Also shipping charges are too high for the time it takes for delivery.

I have read all of the complaints from ex-customers. I am truly in agreement with them as far as the shipping cost. The shipping cost is way too high. ABC purposely sends the order in increments to make more money on the shipping charge. It is cheaper to shop at Wal-Mart even Target is probably cheaper.

Items not received in a timely manner. And when items are received you never know what is being shipped, so if you can't count on it if you need it for a gift. Last year ordered wooden puzzles and wooden puzzle holder. I received the holder and no puzzles!! What a gift!! Also, I was charged for them and never received them!!!

I was billed and turned in to the collection office before I received my order. It took me over a month to receive the order after they say that they shipped it. The should have a toll free number or e-mail address to contact them. I'm not ordering anything else from them.

I placed a large order almost two months ago and received only two items. I just got faxed a bill for items I have never received. I cancelled the order by FAX and hope that they will pay attention to it! I don' think anyone in our office will order from them again...integrity is not thier policy, unfortunately...they could have had some good orders.

I will NEVER do business with them again. They keep billing for something not received, so I paid so my credit would not be ruined, They continue to bill. I called, was put on hold for 17 minutes, then hung up on without getting to say hello even! EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE.

Check out your local stores for the same items. The shipping cost they charge is usually more than the actual item. Not worth the trouble. They say they offer tracking but all my packages have always been sent parcel post with no tracking available. Won't shop from them again!

If the packages are sent throught Fed Express , why does it take to long to recieve the package(s) ? The shipping is too high , for the amount of time it takes to recieve the package after it is mailed . It should arrive sooner than it does with that price of shipping . I prefer it better when it was shipped throught UPS - the shipping was still kind of high with UPS but it didn't take the time to send it as what it does through Fed EXpress . The shipping is really high period , it pays to buy the items through Lakeside Collection where you know what the shipping is before you make the order . Ya'll need to improve on ya'll shipping ways .

I have to agree with te fact that you need t start shipping everything together! I love abc, but alot of the time it is just cheaper for me to go to walmart because of the shipping ad handeling! if you want more business, please do something about this!!!

I am getting mail from these people saying they have changed my address, but I have never had any dealings with them. I am not even the company to whom they are writing. This is a great concern. Their website has no way for me to contact them if I am not a customer. It seems like a poorly run company.
