I really did not do my home work on this vehicle purchase. ABC Nissan had a sticker price of $12,997, on a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder with 84,000 miles. The total purchased price with 42 month financing at 13.9% interested, came out to over $18,000.

A few days later my fianc was looking on the internet and found this vehicle to be worth only about $8900 retail. He also went to the abcnissan.com website and saw my vehicle with the same VIN number and mileage advertised for $8,914.

We then went back to ABC Nissan to ask why I was not told the vehicle was advertised at a much lower price, and why did they sell me a $8900 vehicle for $12,000. A salesman by the name of Guarto, who pretended to be the used car sales manager became extemely rude and very unprofessional, told us there is nothing we could do because "I signed a contract and he told my fianc that he was being "belligerent" for doing research on the car after the fact.

At that point my fianc got a little upset and told Guarto that we were going to talk to a lawyer and gave him a few other choice words. The salesman then said "make sure you subpoena me, by name (Guarto), because this won't be the first time we (ABC Nissan) have been to court, and we will win." As we were walking out of the dealership, he the told us to "go ahead and walk out with our tail between our legs." I have never been treated this way at any place of business and it was a very humiliating experience.

My fianc then called the local Phoenix police to the dealership and explained our situation. They told us the best thing to do is file a complaint with the local Better Business Bureau, and maybe take the dealership to small claims court. One thing is for sure, I will never do business with ABC Nissan again.
