I will say that Jerome will try to take care of the customer, even when they get him on the phone and he? gives a phony name. His problem is he rips off his technicians that perform the quality work. He will claim it's a disgruntle employee, claim that someone was stealing from him, paperwork was not turned in, basically anything he? can conjure up to smear the person who is accusing HIM of doing wrong. He will go through great lengths to keep his illusion of being a legitimate businessman, when in actuality he is a big LIAR and THIEF.

I've read his response, and wow, his BS gets deep.  I'm by no means a perfect person but my work ethics are top notch.  I worked as one of his contracted installers and did not realize how bad he was taking advantage of me not knowing the industry.  Let me elaborate....

When I was doing installations for him he was also an approved installer for Digital Reception Services (DRS) who is the Master Installer for Dish Network.  He claimed that DRS was going back on installations assigned to him and finding "problems" with the way the installation was performed.  I tried to refute the accusations but was never able to resolve anything and before to long I found myself losing money by continuing to do work for him.

A year after leaving Jerome (not fired for stealing or whatever else he may try to say), I started working directly with DRS and made some friends in management.  I told them about my experience with Jerome and how I lost a lot of money with so called back charges that were never proven and wanted to know how could I go about inquiring about my installations that I did under Jerome.  It was made clear to me that  DRS did not "backcharge" their Retailers on installations, therefore there was nothing to investigate with DRS.

I furthermore learned that Jerome was being investigated for "stealing" or "coaxing" customers and was no longer getting work from DRS.

My personal observation/opinion that I made was that he had hired, what I believe to be an ex employee of DRS to get him customers from the DRS database.  He was very secretive about this particular employee............ I always wondered why he would call him by the name of Marcus or Ricky, I never knew what his name truly was.  Before I left Jerome, I understood that the FBI came around looking for that mystery man.  Of course Jerome denied that he had any idea what was going on, but we know differently, right Jerome.

However, getting back to the topic on hand, I hope Jerome is out there doing the work himself and that no other contractors are being ripped off by this phony.  He talks a good game but hopefully nobody else gets mesmerized by his lies and sucked in to his world.

Any contractors looking to do installs for him, just look at the so called testimonials on his website and the lengthy response he made on this one.  Does it not seem that he may be trying to hard to prove he is honorable?  There is a reason why he is not getting work from DRS, as a matter of fact any installers looking for work contact a company called MISOURCE located in Tampa, they work alongside with DRS and are a great company to work with.  They are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR CONTRACTORS.

I worked for them for 2 years and moved on to become a home insurance adjuster.  Summers were getting to hot for me in those attics!

You were a dish installer?

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, October 14, 2011

This is a Pop Quiz for any "professional" Dish Network/Direct TV installers!  What's wrong with this picture?  It's my hope that you will be able to identify ALL of the problems shown in the photo

There are at 3 significant problems with the installation shown in this photo.  Any competent antenna installer will immediately recognize what is wrong with this HAZARDOUS installation.

Bonus points:  there are 5 more issues with the installation shown in the photo.  These bonus points separate the truly professional technician from the fly-by-night installer.  Hint:  this installation faces the street and is at the ground level of a busy corner where pedestrians often sit on the ledge.

This "professional" Dish Network installation was performed a couple weeks ago a few doors down from my home.  It was performed by the same bozos who installed an UNGROUNDED dish network system on the side of my house without our permission in 2009.  I sent numerous emails to Dish Network and the installer about the hazardous installation on our home and now, almost 2 years later, the SAME installer is still installing UNGROUNDED DBS antenna systems.

What irks me the most is that these bozos do not ground the system, then later when the receiver craps out, they will charge the customer for sending someone out to fix the system (unless of course the customer is paying the $6 per month "insurance" premium.)   THIS IMHO is the ripoff.  If they install the DBS antenna system properly, there probably wouldn't by any issue to fix later on.

Earlier this year, my brother-in-law's Visio 52 inch TV crapped died.  Fortunately, the TV was under a 3 year extended warranty and the warranty company sent a rep to replace the power supply for the fluorescent backlight.  However, when they turned the system on, the TV functioned but the Direct TV receiver was crapped out.  Probable cause (IMHO):  high voltage spikes on the DBS antenna cable connected to the DBS receiver and the TV (pass-thru on the receiver) because the antenna system was NOT GROUNDED. Direct TV sent a rep who replaced the receiver but he was going to charge for the service.  Fortunately, I was present at the time the Direct TV rep was there and when I pointed out the HAZARDOUS UNGROUNDED antenna system to him, he made a cell phone and this service call was changed from a billable call to a "complimentary free service call" by Direct TV.  In addition, he corrected the antenna installation so that NOW the system is grounded (Not IAW the NEC, but at least it is grounded.)  Please note that it was approximately 23 months after the installation of Direct TV and the entertainment system that the DBS receiver and TV died.

Lets see if any dish network "internet damage control representatives" will comment about this.

I invite our favorite "one year warranty" installer from Guthrie to take this Pop Quiz.
