aboutthechildren is a good for nothing company that offers services at a supposedly  "good price" filling your head with how expensive another alternative legal option will be and how basically they are the most affordable choice. Since my very first call just to get advise i paid them either $90 or $100 dollars then they filled my head with a bunch of blah blah blah's and i winded up accepting for them to charge my credit card  like $500 more dollars. The deal was for them to start on my paperwork which when completed would be sent back to me as a rough draft for me to review according to info i had previously left on their website, then after getting my responses they would fill in their paperwork and send it to me by Email. First rough draft took them like 2 weeks and my court date was coming closer and closer. I tried to call my bank the very next day after i agreed for them to charge my credit card to cancel the payment, but the payment had already been paid. Along with the first rough draft i was sent a letter of agreement from aboutthechildren i guess to bind the contract, i never signed it nor send it back. My first impression after all the chatter was that i would get help from a person at anytime I needed or if i needed to change anything in the paperwork or needed advise, i was also under the impression that someone would come to court and represent me. I was informed otherwise when i had already gave them my credit card information. I have called and requested a refund, but i was told that no way am i getting my money back, and that according to them i still owe the remaining balance, a balance which ofcourse is not being claimed. Someone from the company told me that perhaps they should sue me for the remaining balance. If this is helpful to other people, please do not trust this company, in my case i had no time to really listen to all they told me, my impression of what was going to be done was not what they do!. Now I am out of close to $600 dollars and I DID NOT use any piece of their rough draft, nothing was even finalized yet they refuse to give me back my money.
