I took my vehicle in to have hail damage fixed. They told me it would take 2 weeks to fix it. I called them after 2 weeks and they said it would be another week because they had to put another hood on. After three weeks they called and said the truck was finished. When I went to pick it up I noticed a big silver metallic wave painted on the rear left door. There was also red brick brown dirt covering the whole vehicle and the side walls of the tires were full of the same red brick dirt burned right into the rubber.

They said they would take care of everything, they buffed off the big silver wave and ran it through the car wash. Then they brought it up front and I noticed the radio blaring. They told me they gave me a free oil change. But when I got in my oil gauge was on empty. My two wheel drive light was out. They put a parts plus miles sticker in the windshield that said "next oil change due at: 20505 miles". The vehicle was brought in with 17213 miles on it. When I got it back it had 17379 miles on it. So they put over 160 miles on it.

They told me the oil gauge would come up and the 2 wheel drive light would come on as I drove. But they didn't. In the past they were fine as soon as you started the vehicle. The voltage regulator was now over charging by 1/4 inch. There was no rubber seal on the windshield. I asked to use the phone but they wouldn't let me. I wanted to call the cops but they told me customers couldn't use business phones. It was fall and it was raining and starting to snow. I had no other way to get home so I had to go. The next day the truck was dead and would not start. I had to call AAA to get it jumped. Later I noticed all the undercoating under the truck was worn off. The cover from the transfer case was gone. The muffler was torn loose. There was a new gas tank put on the vehicle. And over all the truck was just torn up.

When I called Abra to complain corporate just told me they don't do oil. They obviously smashed up my vehicle prior to the extra week they needed. Because now my truck has a replaced radiator, hood, right front fender, and gas tank. None of which they told me about. But for "some reason" they replaced them. Now state farm will not accept a vandalism complaint because I gave Abra the keys. The truck was not broken into.

ABRA Auto Body & Glass

AUTHOR: ABRA Auto Body & Glass - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 11, 2010

I am in Marketing at ABRA Auto Body & Glass, and upon seeing this report I immediately contacted the General Manager of ABRA-Coon Rapids, MN to find out ABRA's side of the story.  Here are my findings:

Joyce of Anoka filed a claim with her insurance company on 8-30-2006, at which time they recorded her mileage at 17,121.  She did not bring her vehicle to ABRA for repairs until 10-12-2006, which we feel was plenty of time to explain the additional 160 miles she claims were put on by an ABRA employee "off-roading" with her vehicle.

As for replacing unnecessary parts, the only ones that were replaced were those on her repair plan, which was approved by her insurance company.

We have discussed this with Joyce at every level of management over the last 3-1/2 years.  In addition, the General Manager of ABRA-Coon Rapids, a representative of her insurance company, her attorney and Joyce all met on 8-5-2009.  At that time everyone (except Joyce) agreed that there was no merit to her claims.

ABRA has a reputation for quality repairs and exceptional customer service.  I suggest you visit our website at www.abraauto.com to see the "testimonials" we have received from past customers.  Thanks.
