ABRAHAM ROTH AND ASSOCIATES COLLECTION AGENT YOU NEED TO SEND A COLLECTION AGENT AFTER MASSAPEQUA New York

This collection agency will collect the funds, but never pay the client. Steve Kahn, collected $4,500.00 for us - he was supposed to keep 18%. So far after over six months we have received $1,000.00. He has made several payment agreements with us, but has not kept a single one. His office telephone is now disconnected but his cell phone is 516-672-6080. We have placed 2 collections with him. The second one was for $10,000.00 for a company named Solara Engineering in Sun Valley, CA. So far he said he contacted an attorney to sue them. Unfortunately, he never told us he was doing that as per the agreement we signed with him, he is supposed to notify us in writing. He is suing them for $127,000.00 the full amout, even though they only owe us a balance of $10,000.00. This guy is so slimmy it is scary. Now he wants us to pay the supposed $1,200.00 for the attorney we never agreed to hire. Right on his own paperwork it states verbatum:

Any referral to legal action - MUST FIRST BE APPROVED BY THE CLIENT. Agency will not initate any form of legal action without prior written authority from CLIENT. When legal action is authorized, Client will execute a written assignment of the accout. Legal action will be brought in the name of the Agency to further indemnify client. The contingency fee on any costs (net the attorney's fees and court costs recovered) after referral to all legal action shall be at a rate of ***NO ADDITONAL ATTORNEY FEES***

We have filed a report with the BBB of NY, Hopefully they will not just start up under a different company name.
