Absolute Towing company in coordination with Dennys restaurant have a scam to make money by towing unsuspecting people trying to find parking at the Dept of Human Sevices next door.  There is one huge parking lot where all parking spots are either marked "Dennys parking" or "DHS parking" except the one single spot between them is not marked.  The sign has been removed from the pole and the painted marking in the parking spot was painted over.  A tow truck from Absolute Towing sits in the parking lot all day waiting for someone to park in that one unmarked spot then immediately begins to tow the vehicle after the driver leaves.  Workers in the DHS office said Ron from Absolute towing had towed about 100 cars from that spot in the past 2 months.  Both Dennys store management and DHS workers say they can't do anything about it.  But sign and markings on that one spot were obviously removed to set up the scam.  When the mother of the 7 month old baby ran out pushing the baby in a stroller to stop Ron from towing her car, he said he would release the car for $70.  When the mother said she didn't have $70 on her but could have someone bring it in about 10 minutes, he said I'll wait 5 minutes.  The mother said if you're going to take my car I need to get things out of it for my baby.  He said no, you'll have to get that from the impound lot.  Then the cost to get the car out of impound was $200 which she had to borrow because she's poor and that's why she was at DHS in the first place, to get food stamps.  These people, Absolute Towing and/or Dennys should have to repay everyone they ripped off with this scam.
