A representative of this company contacted my wife by phone implying that he was with AT&T, which is our phone service.  He was not assocated with AT&T but made you think he was.  He made you think he was reviewing your phone bill, which he wasn't.  The pitch was, he sees that we don't make many long distance phone calls and he can save us money on our long distance charges.  He has a plan for $5 per month.  Our AT&T plan was unlimited long distance calls for $15 per month.  His pitch sounded good so my wife said OK.  Our phone bill is an automatic deduct plan each month so we don't see a bill.  A few months go by and I get on line to check something out on our bill and I see this $60 charge for a company identified by the initials USBI.  Doing research I find USBI is billing on behalf of Access Long Distance, Inc.  More investigation reveals that the $5 per month charge discussed with my wife was only the monthly access fee.  There is also a $0.10 per minute charge for long distance service.  Of course my wife wasn't told that and as she thought she was talking to AT&T, never thought to ask any questions.  We contacted this company last month and told them of the misrepentation of their representatives, dissatisfaction with the service and cancelled.  We went back to the AT&T plan.  Had I stayed with AT&T my long distance charges would have been $15 per month.  This months bill shows up with $66.74 charges to USBI.  Another call to this company and the individual is very rude.  I don't know if the service is cancelled or not.  I have contacted AT&T and discussed this with them.  The representatives of this company are very good scam artists!  I know I have been out over $300 in long distance phone charges to this ompany.  How does a company like this stay out of jail?
