Account Recovery Corporation ARC I have been receiving phone calls on my cell 3-5 times a week. It is a recording saying that it is not a solicitation, but I'm to call them back at a different number. I don't know why I'm getting t Victoria, British Columbia
*General Comment: it is a collection agency, I think you know that
I am tired of receiving calls from ARC, Account Recovery Corporation. They call and it's a recording, saying "this is not a solicitation, call back ...."and then they give a different number to call back.
They don't use my name and I haven't called them back. I have no idea why they are calling, my cell number is relatively new and I don't give it out.
I want the calls to stop. This is harassment.

You owe a creditor, and defaulted. It sounds like they sold the debt to this agency. I think you know that though. Your post says you are from British Columbia, so you should check and see what creditors can do to you if they sue you there.
I bet they can garnish bank accounts, etc. So if i were you , I would call them back and listen to what they have to say. If you ignore them they may just sue you, and then you will be writing back here saying how this company is taking 50% of your check every 2 weeks.
