I used their card at the gas station pump, the card was declined.  Then I went inside to use the same card and again it was declined. I checked my balance before I had funds available.  I checked it again and it said I had no funds available.  I immediately called the customer service for them to tell me that the pump doesn't know that its a prepaid card and they put an automatic hold on the funds.  I told her that was fine but it declined it and I wasn't able to get any gas.  I requested that they reverse the charges so I could get gas.  the CSR informed me that they couldn't reverse the charges. I requested to speak to a supervisor after she told me I had to wait until 10/24...6 days!  She supposedly connected me to a supervisor who in turn repeated the same scripted message. I told them they are the ONLY prepaid card that can't reverse charges.  Netspend will reverse the charges and you are telling me that you can't reverse a charge even though I NEVER received any gas.  I requested to speak to his supervisor and this CSR put me on an even longer hold and came back and explained how he fought for me to have the charges reversed and how they had to wait until the hold was released and I had to wait until 10/24! I asked what I was suppose to do until then because they took every cent I had and I couldn't get any of my money and had no money for gas!!! All this CSR stated was that they couldn't reverse the charges and he felt sorry for my situation.  ACCOUNTNOW has horrible customer service and AS SOON AS MY MONEY IS RELEASED I WILL NO LONGER BE USING THEIR CARD.

Hello Kenyatta,

I am sorry about your experience with requesting to release a gas station authorization.  In general, one way to avoid these authorizations, is to run your card as debit (PIN based transaction) so the transaction does not place a hold on your funds.

I understand and apologize for the delay in our reply, although if we can be of any further assistance, please send us an email at
customerserviceRR@accountnowinc.com and reference your name, phone number, and last four digits of your card number. Have a great day.

GF
