ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES MANAGEMENT bullies from Accounts Receivables Management harassing me and my co-workers for a debt that is already being paid off. THOROFARE New Jersey

I borrowed money from a payday loan company( bad idea) and later had f to close the bank account that was being debited for the payment.

I contacted the payday loan company to make other payment arrangements, and was told the account had already been sent to a collection agency(ARM). The representative of the payday loan company asked his supervisor if he could set up a payment plan anyway, since the account had just been turned over. The supervisor consented, and I arranged with them to pay $275 on 8/29/08 and $275 on 9/12/08 to pay the total in full(loan $550 including fees).

The 8/29 payment was made, but I got a call from ARM on 8/29. THEY WERE TRYING TO COLLECT THE SAME DEBT, BUT SAID THE BALANCE WAS $670. I tried to explain to the ARM rep that I had made arrangements, and had already made a payment to the payday company. The rep called me a liar, and said I knew when I made the debt I had no intention of paying it.

I tried to get his name and number to call him back, since I was on a company phone that several other employees used. He kept talking over my voice, saying that he had already been lied to like that more than once that day, and that when we make debts, we should be responsible enough to pay them. When I stopped talking completely to prevent raising my voice in hearing of my co-workers, I was asked how could I be so nonchalant , knowing I was not taking care of my responsibilities.
