I applied for a Part-Time position on Craigslist, Careerbuilder and BetterGulfCoastJobs.com and I was mailed a packet with instructions, letter and a check for $3997.00:
1. Probationary training pay - $450
2. Funds for shopping - $100    
3. Service charge by Western Union/MoneyGram - $290    
4. Required funds to be sent - $3157

Total of check amount enclosed, to be deposited and to clear - $3997.00
 Must contact your Assignment Coordinator, Pamela Wilson@1-514-803-7760 to confirm authorization and activation of the check mailed to you. Call her again once the check clears your bank to start your job and fax copies of receipts, evaluation form and Western Union MTCN# upon completion.
This seems all too real and legit but it's a SCAM!
