I remember like it was yesterday.!My daughter just turned 18 and her mom recently passed away. She left my daughter,Christina, a little bit of money and I was worried that since she just turned 18,and the way Christina always liked to help people out of difficult situations, that someone would try to take advantage of her loving nature.

I brought her up trying to help people when she could and that it was better to give than to receive.I also tried to teach her about how there are also people in the world that lie and cheat and steal off of people to get ahead, and steal for profit. She had a hard time understanding this."Why do people do that,dad?...She asked me..I tried to put it as gentley as possible.

She is very intelligent in the school room but very naieve when it comes to street sense so I try to keep a close eye on her.Sure enough in July, she ran across an old classmate. They made plans to have lunch.after lunch and after Christina got softened up for the introduction to MLM and how you can make several thousands of money per month,The upline showed up and closed the deal. By The time he was through with my daughter, she had written a check for $499, bought 2 video phones, They talked her into buying T.Mobile cell phone(They said it would give her all these "points". plus she already has a cell phone)...and then ACN has the nerve to charge us for the #2 phone that wasn't even plugged in and on top of ALL that, they want more money for early disconnect! What's Next?

The only thing this company is interested in,is money! and they train their distributors to do the same!!It's all about the money. Principles and honesty, integrity,go right out the window. As soon as they got their money, they stopped calling. What happened to the training, and learning how to do this! We spent close to $2000. and they still are sending me bills! What a joke! Stay away from this company!

ACN

AUTHOR: mikelally2003 - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, October 17, 2009

My name is Michael Lally; I have been in the ACN business for about 3 months now. I am the managing director of 3 other businesses so I understand structure and business models. Acn is among the top Ive seen when it comes to their business structure. Their training is second to none it is also very widely available. If you didnt find it, you didnt look. SIMPLE! I dont know if you are familiar with Robert Kiyosaki's "Cash Flow Quadrant" <!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]--> Link explains in detail http://www.knowledgebringsmoney.com/cash-flow-quadrant.html The E stands for Employee The S stands for Small Business Or Smart People The B stands for Big Business And the I stands for Investing You are absolutely correct in saying that a franchise like McD's is a good business but if you look into the structure, you will ALWAYS find that in Franchises the Franchisee makes and income sometimes big sometimes small but the franchisor has the lifestyle.
If what you are telling me is that your daughter can cough up $2m to start a McD's then she is doing a lot better than I am.

Also in order to generate money in McDs the company has to be maintained STAFF, RENT, RATES ECT but more importantly TIME. Acn offers the opportunity for residual income do the job once and get paid month after month. ACN Gives the opportunity to expand into the B column without spending the millions of dollars required to start a traditional B column business. What happened with your daughter is that she valued the business as a $500. Psychologically when you look at a BUSINESS as only being $500 it becomes less important than if it had cost you say $2m. If she had put the same time into ACN as people do with McDs she would be one of our leaders. What I think then happened is that she made a list and she did something I call prejudging. She thought of a few people in her head that she thought would be interested in the same opportunity she went to the first Said No downed her confidence, went to the second Said No downed her confidence, went to the third Said No shattered her confidence. The whole point of ACN is to SORT not SELL we just bring the information to the people; they do what they want with it. ACN is a business that anyone can make a success from its all down to attitude. Have a look at this link http://mikelally2003-attitude.blogspot.com/2009/10/attitude.html and remember not to blame anyone but yourself for something not working out. ACN is not a get rich quick scheme but it is a get rich scheme.

Pastorpreneur you should be ashamed.

Seriously... How low can you stoop to accuse a father of intentionally harming his child, when all he's doing is looking out for her to the best of his ability and to the best of his knowledge? It's sickening and repugnant.

I've sifted through a lot of RORs on ACN up to this point. Lots. You and your fetid ilk have one thing in common.... You all sound the same. Carbon copies of one another. Caught up in a cultic groupthink that has you saying the same things.

You propagate the lie that if someone didn't make it, it's their fault and their fault only. The company seems to never be to blame.

Every single flag waver for ACN seems to declare that they've "been with the company for years". Simply outliving your predecessors isn't much of a feather in the cap.

Very few respondents, if any, here have revealed their true income.

Donald Trump is thrown hither and yon as some sort of defense for ACN, when the truth is, he's a paid endorsement.

AT&T: Denies any partnership with ACN. Verizon: Denies any ties with ACN. T-Mobile denies any partnership with ACN. Where do those lies stop?

Great fanfare is heard from the defender's camp with regards to potential income, but again, potential income is just that. Very little is said about how difficult, if not impossible, it is to actually start generating that income with people making a mere pittance that they can't even live on for at least the first couple of months, if at all.

Comparisons to real franchises like McDonald's are laughable at best... At McD's you start up, sell your tangible merchandise and can count profit and loss in the same day. You cannot do this with ACN. Also, in a real franchise, people are actually paid something approaching a living wage based on actual ability and their position in the company which denotes their level of responsibility for which they receive this compensation. They don't feel that they're not going to make rent or not eat that day if they don't get X amount of friends in to come in and eat a certain amount of greaseball burgers.

Finally, to the last, those of you defending your cult come off as arrogant, pretentious snots who think you have the world by the bag and are somehow better than everyone else who you look down on and spit upon because they haven't drank enough ACN Kool-Aid. Your "I'm alright, Jack" attitude is repugnant and vile.

So far, ACN seems to be the Scientology of MLMs, and they've been around 50 years and are falling apart at the seams, so the tidbit that ACN is 15 years old doesn't impress me one little bit.

Jesus may love you, but I think you're garbage wrapped in skin.

You Messed Up Your Daughter's Dream

AUTHOR: Pastorpreneur - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 25, 2008

Your daughter had the vision to see an opportunity and she acted on it. A serious ACN Rep will never convince someone to get involved in the business because it is to frustrating to try to motivate the unmotivated to build their business. ACN Reps simply present an opportunity and people either respond or they don't. There are too many people who want something from life, so to spend time convincing people who don't see the opportunity is something that no true ACN Rep desires. Your daughter bought the phones because she wanted them, and not because she was persuaded. She made an intelligent decision. I suggest you support her in that decision. You have nothing to loose and ownership of your lives to gain.

ACN has a serious presence in Vegas and you just need to show up at the training. when people join ACN and don't pursue the building up of their own business, a true ACN Rep will not hunt them down and convince them to build their company. Its easier to give birth than it is to ressurrect the dead.

You said your daughter is very intelligent. Then give her credit for her intelligent decision and realize that just because you can't see it doesn't mean its not there.
ACN is a 15 yr. old company endorsed by multi-billionaire Donald Trump, doing business on 3 continents in 19 countries. Wake Up!
You will turn on your television in April 09 and will be sick.

ACN is NOT a scam

AUTHOR: Shaun - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 29, 2008

I've been involved with ACN for many many years and it's far from a scam. It's a business that you have to build up, not a job. The income opportunity that ACN offers is incredible. You have to work for it the same as any other company you would own. ACN is the reason why my wife and I are able to stay at home with our children and do the things that we wanted to do in life. Things we would not possibly be able to do.
They offer a wide variety of training for people. In order to receive the training, you need to attend the trainings and follow what the people who have been involved for some time. If you dont, then you will fail. They system that ACN has is very simple to follow. If you don't, then again, you will fail. It's different then an MLM. You can make money on just aquiring services. It's more time consuming then if you were to aquire business partners, people helping you aquire customers. You make a percentage off of everyone's customers without it taking away from them. MLM you can't do this. MLM's you have to recruit representatives without the opportunity to just sale the products. It's a package deal. With ACN it's more of network marketing, not an MLM.
The people that make money in ACN are coachable and follow the system and partricipate in all the trainings etc. Everyone is given information on all training events and conventions as well as one on one if they ask. They also have access to corporate headquarters for reps services where they can call 25 hours a day and have telephone one on one training, ask questons and get help. There are also online video's through the myacn.com where they can watch video's on the products and services, building a team (if they chose) and many other aspects. The Executives, Team Coordinators and Regional Vice Presidence also put on weekly training events where you can go and get added training. But you must "attend" The information is given by the executives, information on each events in each county, in each state and in each country is located on their MYACN web site, as well as a complete listing of addresses, phone numbers and everything humanly possible to think of. They can also obtain this information through rep services. So the training is there, you just have to go. If you don't go, then you won't get the training. There's more then one a week as well. There are actually several. So the training is very well available. Each individual business owner is told this, given the option to go, told how important it is to go etc. So the accusation you gave is false. Training was available, it just wasn't capatalized on or taken advantage of.
Acuiring customers is a big deal with ACN. In order to make money, you have to aquire customers. The more customers you have, the more money you make. Plain and simple.
False accusation was made on ACN billing for cellular phone. Wrong. The cell phone companies do all the billing not ACN. All the major wireless providers have partnered up with ACN as well as Satellite TV etc. The individual companies bill, NOT ACN. So ACN did "not" bill you for the wireless cell phones. That is a flat out lie~!
Anyone interested in ACN, it's an incredible business to get involved in, but do the trainings to learn the industry and how to build your buisness. Don't make excuses as to trainings not being available because they are.
It's funny how so many people fail in business because they can't fess up to their own failures. People fail in different businesses all the time. When you fail in a business in conjunction with another business, it's easy to pass the buck onto someone or something else and call it a scam or fraud or whatever, when in actuallity it is not! But to try and justify their own failure and make themselves feel better, and don't give the time and dedication needed to succeed in any business (network marketing is an easy target for these lies) they quickly throw their hands up in the air and call something a scam to justify their mistakes. When all they had to do is put time and effort into it, and follow what they were told from the beginning to end they would of done very well. It's sad that no one can admit the real reason why they failed. I have not failed in ACN, as well as many of my associates have not failed. We've done what we were trained to do and help others to succeed in their own business. It's an incredible business, you just have to do what it takes to succeed, which isn't much and it's all laid out on the line for you. Take advantage of helping others and help yourself.
Don't judge a company by what other's false accusation from their failure say. The person who is showing you this business, see for yourself. Be a leader not a follower, decide based on the compensation plan, other business owners that are involved "now" say and do etc.
ACN has the opportunity, passing it up is a mistake!

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I agree that ACN is a scam

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 08, 2008

My old roommate and I were once employees of ACN, and unfortunately, they target college students, especially freshman students, or even 18 year olds. I was actually lucky to get my money back because i presented proof that I am still eligible for a refund. My roommate on the other hand, lost all of her $499. If you can present valid proof in regards to not being obligated to pay those high costs, do it, it is worth a shot.

ACN is very money hungry, they will not even let something as little as $20 slide past them! They only mailed me a check for $449, and in order to get the remaining $50 back, I had to return the kit. I did that, but never received the check. I called them asking for another check, and they charged a $20 reprint fee. I later on received the $50, and when I cashed it, ACN eventually went into my back account to take back their $20!!!! If a company was so wealthy, they can afford to lose $20.

ACN is not even considered a business. Why don't they have a legit office location? Why do they stand on college campuses in hopes of recruiting college students who have not fully acquired the knowledge of business or any subject? Why is the actual duty of the job similar to telemarketing? The newly recruited representatives of ACN begin with advertising ACN to their friends and family, and then you work your way up by recruiting more people. Realistically speaking, what happens when you run out of friends and family to recruit?

The turnover rate for ACN is around 98%. When I called my recruiter to tell him that I wanted to quit and wanted my money back, he did not want to let me go because if he lost me, he lost part of his money. When I told him that my decision is final, he got very angry and frustrated. It is really sad (yet entertaining) to watch my "boss" beg his employees to stay. It is also sad and entertaining that he dropped out of college for this "job".

I hope all this helps, and you should maybe speak with a small claims attorney.
