I would like to report a scam artist who is saying he works for ACS Legal and represents Pay Day Loans. His name is Mike Cobeland and his phone number is 626 380-0959. He has an Indian accent. He claims that my wife took out a loan from them and that she must appear in court on the next day. She admitted that she did fill out the online form but never submitted it. I think this is how they got her information. He said that she was notified by email 16 times would be arrested if she didn't pay them. She told him that papers must be served but not through email.

If they call again let them know it is a scam
You cannot be arrested for a debt period
ABC news did a story on this - these "people" hacked into payday websites and stole information
Tell the losers you know that scam and hang up!!

I received a call also and was really worried. Unfortunately they had a lot of my information which I believe they go when I filled out an application for a loan. I however, do not have any outstanding loans. They were really rude and refused to give me any information. The guys name was Dan Wilson and he gave me a 310 number. I called after 6pm and the phone rang and then went to a busy signal. He said that he was calling regarding a case that was going to court but could not give me any information. He said I was being charged with theft which is crazy. He also said that he was sending the information to my employer so that they know what kind of employee they have. Originally I was concerned, however, the more I thought about it, the less sense it made. I am glad I decided to do some research online regarding this. I am uneasy about the amount of true information they had about me.
