This is in reference to your Account number 04478-896 with ACS in order to notify you that after making several calls to you on your phone number, we were not able to get hold of you. So the IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center) has decided to mark this case as a flat refusal and press charges against you.

Your account with ACS is in Final Collections.

According to our records, your outstanding balance is $1,489.56

Do revert back if you want to get rid of these legal consequences and make a payment arrangement within the next 48 hours or else the case will be downloaded against you.

The opportunity to take care of this voluntary is quickly coming to an end. We would hate for you to lose the option of resolving this before it goes to the next step which is a Lawsuit against you, but to do so you must take immediate action.

As we have shared with you in previous letters, read your loan agreement; the next step is clearly defined. It could cost us both a great deal of time and money; you can avoid this by taking care of this now.

It is quick and easy:

Grab your debit card and call us or e-mail us right now in order to make a payment and freeze down this case.

Contact us on 1-650.282.4485

If you do not take immediate action:

We will be forced to download this case against you and once it is downloaded the creditor has entire rights to inform your employer regarding this and if you are found guilty under the bench of jury then you have to bear a law suit which will be
amounting to $4515.85 and will be totally levied upon you and that would be excluding your bail charges, your attorney charges and the due amount pending on your name $986.45

Thanks for being our customer,

Here's what I did

AUTHOR: Jim Martin - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 10, 2012

I used the redial button on my phone.  For almost an hour, I called him.  Every time he answered, I would just hang up and then hit redial again.  After I stopped, he called me and asked me why I keep calling his phone.  Then he asked me if I'm retarded.

You can try asking him to prove proof that you owe the debt, but he will probably just change names and call you again.  It's just some idiot's failing attempt at a scam.

His threats are just that, empty threats.  He once threatened to send the police to my work and have me arrested.  He said I would be taken to California for court and that I would have to hire a lawyer.  I live in Indiana.

From what I was able to get from him and other reports here and elsewhere, it appears that he has set up fake pay day loan sites and that's how he got people's information.

Make sure you check your credit reports and alert your bank just in case.  It's been almost a year since the last time he called me and I haven't seen any thing show up yet, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Good luck.  I hope you teach him a lesson.  And have some fun with him.

So, what exactly is your complaint?  Some one may be able to give you advice on what to do, if we only knew the circumstances behind this.

Have you tried to contact the company?  If this is a legitimate debt, ask them for proof that you owe the debt.  Any legitimate debt, they should be able to prove that you owe that money.

Also, I see at the bottom that it is an email.  Check the "to" line and make sure they didn't send the same letter to other people too.  If the email was sent to multiple parties, it is just a phishing attempt.  If this is the case, just delete it.

Another red flag in the letter, is when they say "IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center) has decided to mark this case as a flat refusal and press charges against you."  IC3 is just a complaint site.  It was set up to take complaints only.  The system then monitors those complaints for patterns.  If it notices a pattern, those complaints then get forwarded to the authorities to be investigated.  Don't take this the wrong way, but the IC3 couldn't care less about you because it is simply a computer.

Also, $1500 would go to small claims court.  The company would have you hire a lawyer to go to your local court and prove that you owe that debt.

Check out the sites below.  I found them with by searching the phone # through google.  The second, someone actually posts the email they received from this company.  The only difference between the two is the account #.  Look at the balance they say is due, both are the exact same amount.

If the sites get "redacted" by this site, let me know and I will find a way to get the info to you.
