was looking to get myself into acting business. set up an appointment. the girl and co workers then were pressuring me to give them money for pictures and head shots. only got 1 picture after that and they wanted extra money to get more pictures. promised me work. i have never been called for work
am hung up on every time i call to egt my money back.
I am filing a report with the consumer affairs in NYC
dont give them money.. the hundreds of dollars just dissappear. get your own photographer have head shots taken and then see if they will sign you up or you still have to take pictures with them..
wheres the work
their other location here in New Jersey was already closed down. they didnt have a licence to do this work
check with NJ consumer affairs about the charges and fines they were given its all there. so now i have to do the same in NYC.

I have been a client of Actors' Reps for 7 months, I have gotten a lot of work from them. The only thing I have paid was 10% commission off the work they got me. Miss Rashida's statement of "being pressured to give them money for pictures" is false. They are not photographers, but a licensed talent agency under the guidelines Of the Consumer Affairs.
FYI... this is a quote from the agreement I signed upon joining Actors' Reps: THE AGENCY CANNOT CHARGE A FEE FOR... SETTING UP INTERVIEWS (AUDITIONS)- REVIEWING RESUMES- PHOTOGRAPHERS- TRAINING AND/OR/ ANY SERVICES BESIDES PLACING APPLICANTS IN A JOB.

Actors Reps of New York has been in the entertainment industry 34 years, all of which they have never received a legitimist complaint.
We will be contacting the Department of Consumer Affairs to explore a liability lawsuit regarding this false accusation.
We are sorry if such individuals who we have chosen not to represent have taken such immature steps to slander our image. This behavior will not be tolerated and any further false accusations will result in a lawsuit.
