Adam Bain Canon camera low price Milano Italy

Someone on Craigslist who in a followup email went by Adam Bain claimed to be selling a Canon 5D Mark II camera for at least $1000 less than it usually goes for. He never said why he was selling for such a low price. Craigslist warns about people shipping items, especially from overseas, as being frauds. This guy seemed to be fairly legit except for slightly unusual grammar in his emails.

He claimed to be an engineering student at Politecnico di Milano, and even provided pictures of the camera that were not just stock photos. I was about ready to buy it until I read on ripoffreport.com about someone going by either Jon Gravbrot or Andrew Miller trying to sell a Macbook Pro through Royal Mail the same way, and the text and address of those emails are the same as I received. Here are his messages:

I still have the canon gear. But the thing is that I'm in Italy for my school (I have it with me).

Obviously we need a safe way to complete this deal that will allow us to make sure we receive what we are after.

Yes, it's the new Canon 5d mark 2 with lens. I've attached the pics.

I study abroad at Politecnico di Milano, I study engineering and I don't have time to use it anymore and more of that I will need to buy a laptop to help me with my study. I've put the listing on Craig's list because it's a US model with the warranty available for Canada & USA only.

I will come back to the States next year after I will finish my school.

About the procedure, things are pretty simple. First I go to Royal Mail with the item and start the delivery procedure. After I give them the item for you, Royal Mail will send you a notification to let you know the process has been initiated, and that they have the item for you. Also, in the notification they will send you clear instructions on how to make the payment to Royal Mail, to the Royal Mail agent's name. After you complete your payment, then you will notify Royal Mail, they will collect the payment and once they have your payment, then they will deliver the item to you asap. Delivery time is 2 days. After you receive the item you will have 5 days (i think it's enough) to test it to see if it is as I said, also to see that everything is in good order and then if you are satisfied with the items, then you will instruct Royal Mail to release the payment.

I will support the shipping and handling charges that are almost $175.00 USD. And you will support the fee to send the money to the Royal Mail company. Fee that is almost $95.00 USD. So the total estimated price that you will pay for it is $1,395.00 USD.

It's true as they say, beware of international sellers on Craigslist, too-good-to-be-true prices, a seller wanting to complete the deal quickly and willing to pay shipping, and escrow deals. I'm grateful to ripoffreport.com for saving me a bunch of money!
