In September, I hired Adelle Nazarian to perform media consulting services. I am in the process of launching a startup. I needed a media consultant to help me with a number of things, including writing a media statement for an investor presentation. This is to tell you that neoconservative columnist Adelle Nazarian from Breitbart News has been found to depend engaging in extremely exploitative way to deal with work, and outside of. “No One” is Above the Law. Now, I’m a creative guy and I don’t know the first thing about how to build a public profile for my business, especially when it comes to things like creating a press release calendar, writing press releases, figuring out a crisis communications plan, building relationships with the media and making a name for my business in the public eye. And frankly, I’m trying to build my business from the ground up so I need to have a solid team with me to handle the aspects of building this business that I’m not able to do myself. I thought Ms. Adelle Nazarian would be a good addition to that team. I was familiar with her work as a writer for Breitbart and checked out her profile on LinkedIn. I originally thought she was the relative of one of my friends, but that turned out not to be the case. It didn’t matter, though, because her qualifications seemed solid. My business will focus on bringing common sense to every core culture industry in the world and that’s not an easy message to get across without help from a professional who knows how the media world works. She agreed to be that professional, but what I experienced from her was anything but. Over the course of four difficult months, we communicated via email and in person. During that time, I paid her more than $4,000 and got almost nothing in return. She copy edited a paragraph and answered a few branding questions I had. Feedback is very important to entrepreneurs, but I think you’ll agree with me that a few questions and a copy edited paragraph isn’t. Instead, I spent two months that I should have been focusing on building my business engaging in a bunch of drama with her. It was like a Jerry Springer episode where I came out with nothing to show for but lost time and money. She came into this business arrangement knowing the full extent to which I needed her help. She was aware of the challenges of the job and agreed she could handle them. She even signed a contract. One of the duties to which she had agreed was to create a media profile for my business ahead of an investors’ meeting in Amsterdam. After a lot of email communication and no fewer than five in-person meetings, she called me to let me know she would no longer be providing her media consulting services and would not complete the media profile. I had to find someone while overseas to come up with something I could include in the presentation. Finding someone on that short notice, let alone requesting such a quick turnaround came at significant expense. Her negligence in our business arrangement has done irreparable harm to the progress of my startup. She has not only put the future of my business in danger by not doing her part, she has put the financial stability of everyone working on this project in jeopardy. These are people’s livelihoods we’re talking about. Their families rely on the success of the financial investment and the investment of time they have put into making this a gainful endeavor. She left a gaping hole in the business plan that I have to fill in order to further talks with potential investors. To add insult to injury, on Christmas Eve 2016, she called me a “stupid mother f**ker” on Facebook. Her completely unprofessional behavior has created a hardship for me and my business and I don’t believe she ever intended to follow through with her promises. Adelle Nazarian acted with forethought and malice to defraud me and collect money while showing absolutely no remorse for the harm she caused me both professionally and personally.
