AdKids Child Talent Model Management Agency ripoff dishonest evasive scam unlicensed fraudulent New York New York

On August 26, 2005 my husband and I went to AdKids Inc. for an "interview" with my child. Donald Joseph Voight convinced us that our child would be "perfect" for the child modeling agency. And that the opportunity was now or never.

We signed up on the spot without further thought. The fee was $630. We didn't have the money so he authorized to charge a partial payment of $400 to our debit card and the rest on the following week.

After giving more thought to things at home we decided it was not the right decision for us at the time. We called AdKids up to cancel. Although the Agreement Contract makes no mention of a refund policy, We figured, only a day had passed and no services were rendered by AdKids plus we had yet to pay the full price.

We believe a refund should not be a problem. I even checked with my Bank and the funds were not even withdrawn from my account yet so it was fairly easy to just cancel everything.

Instead, Mr. Voight argued that we "could not do that", that we "have a contract", that our reasons for canceling were not "good enough" for him. But in the end said we should write a letter stating our request, and we did. Then on Aug 2, 2005 the $400 was taken out of my Bank account, clearly he does not intend to give me a refund.

I still haven't gotten a response to the letter to this day nor my money back. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of NY, Consumer Affairs, and a Dispute claim for the funds with my Bank.

If necessary I will go to court, contact my local English and Spanish news channel and further pursue this matter by any means necessary until I get my money back.
