Re: A real woman on AFF

AUTHOR: Big Phil - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, November 01, 2007

I was a member of Adult Friend Finder off and on for about 7-8 years.
During that time I hopped from free membership to gold, to silver and then back and forth each level several times.

I was never rude. I always very respectful to the women I wrote.
A lot of profiles displayed explicit photos. The profiles themselves were often quite sexually explicit, with women quite graphically describing what they wanted.
I have no problem with that. In fact, that was part of the initial allure.

I spent a lot of time reading ads, carefully considering each profile and composing what I thought was a very thoughtful email.
In all during the time I was a member I probably wrote to 100 women.

Out of this I received one legitimate reply.
The rest replied with links for for porn web sites or escort services.
The ads were obviously fake.

When I found out my company wanted to transfer me to another state I began to check profiles there.
What I found was interesting.
I found a lot of profiles which matched many of the profiles in my own state almost word for word.
In addition, I found a few of the same pictures on profiles.

Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend AFF to anyone.

A real woman on AFF

AUTHOR: CA Girl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 25, 2007

As a member of AFF for a year, I have met a handful of great men. The rest of the men might have been nice, but were not my type or did not turn out to be who or what they appeared in person. I started with a standard membership that is free, somedays I had over 100 emails. Of those emails, some dont have anything interesting to say, some are rude and never going to get a reply, and alot fall into the catagory of just never going to work out. It gets very old having a pen pal, if you reply to most men they bombard you numerous emails and will try and say anything so you pay attention to them.

Having that free memebership meant I had limited access to emailing, veiwing, and initiating contact so I would just accept network invites from everyone so I could contact them via the friends network. However someone who knew me found my profile on this site, and wreaked havoc on my personal and professional life by printing out my profile and pictures. I have joined as a gold member under a new name, I dont reply to emails for the most part, I initiate any contact with people who interest me first. Then the men usually know right away I am for real, and my profile more then hints I am a no nonsense, respectable lady who will not reply and waste my time or yours unless I can see us having a connection.

You bought into the site and have privelages as a paying member, however you still have to sell yourself by your pictures and what you write. If you dont look great and sound great chances are you dont know how to attract the opposite sex. I know people havent always been great face to face, but I will take that chance because I can go out on a weekend and never meet 1 person that interests me locally. The game is still the same, you have to attract the opposite sex and then score. You cant just join a website, put a picture and write how you want sex and no drama, and then expect to get what you paid for. If you can log on and send emails and read them then AFF pretty much delivered the service the advertised, I was having fun before getting a gold membership. At least 5 females I confided in about what I was doing on AFF have also joined.

Adult Friend Finder - I have had some good results...

AUTHOR: Nave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 04, 2007

Hey. I have paid for a silver membership on and off over a few years. Yes the adds you see on other websites track your IPs location and give random pictures and say they are near you I agree thats not true. When you are a member and contact people there are a number of real people out there. If they are a silver or gold member they most likely are not somebody trying to advertise you somthing. If they are a standard member many of them are real but like everything else on the internet people will try to exploit you. This isnt the company trying to get you to sign up for somthing its outsiders looking to make money and abusing the system.

For a single male there are a lot to choose from and it can take a lot of notes before somebody is interested in you reguarless of your looks or location. I have talked to real people and even met up with a few of them so I just wanted to say that Adult Friend finder is not all about ripping you off.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

you can't rely on the site you joined to help you find anyone real

AUTHOR: Harold - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 20, 2006

i was a member of one of these sites and found some of the same things going on. the one thing that tipped me off to the scams was the use of (form profiles):same ages, locations, about myselfs. you message them and just get a "see me blah blah blah at my wabsite only to find out you have to join the site. you can't rely on the site you joined to help you find anyone real,i have even seen adverts for some sites showing the same women but different locations lol(they are just there to take your money every month).
most of the pics are file photos and the sites usually don't delete profiles, so they could be years old. best thing to do is screen the profiles and look for repeating phrases and move on.i met my current partner on-line.keep your searches local(same state/province or just outside it).you can find real ppl but you have to hang in there and search carefully.
