I paid yesterday for a renewel membership and got charged for a brand new membership. also paid for standards contacts and adult movies on demand.

The adult movies on demand are terrible and the quality of the picture and sound is terrible. Not worth the money i paid!

I immediately sent on their complaint form for their customer service to contact me. As of this complaint; no phone calls or emails.

I also sent faxes today and a email to their billing dept. and team@adult friend finder.com. I got back a notice "DELIVERY TO THE FOLLOWING RECIPIENTS FAILED". This email is on their own documents. There is no phone # for Various,Inc. in Palo Alto, California.

Some Facts About AFF Models

AUTHOR: MoonRising - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, November 29, 2009

Some members are paid to go on cam, but YES they are paid.  Also, AFF is notorious for stealing profiles.  I know several people in socal chat have had their profiles stolen and duplicated on other sites.  I also believe that AFF makes those bots to solicit and trap people for their credit cards, and then auto renew your account regardless of if you wanted to or not.  Those bots also direct traffic to other aff sites like xMatch.com Passion.com, geesh and i forgot the other two...

I have been on that site as a free member since 2005.  I paid once, and knew it would be a waste of money.  I agree tho, they are a very bad, fraudulent site.  they stole your money and they stole my rights.  Andrew Conrue will be judged sooner or later.  It is simply in the cards.

Good luck :)

Notorious AFF!

AUTHOR: Moon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, November 29, 2009

I have been on AFF for 5 or 6 years and have delt with many of the employees, who are still there.  AFF is notorious for unauthorized charges.

One month I did pay for the site to check out the extras and I made sure I unchecked the "automatic renewal" option (I knew it was an issue beforehand).  I was pissed off when the next month came around and they charged me anyway!!!  I immediately called and told them that I was aware of their tricks and I had made sure it had said not to auto renew.  They did reverse the charges (I think, I never did check lol), but any time I put payment information on a website I make sure it is cleared, even if I have to call or cancel the order.  Another good thing to do is put everything on a VISA card, that way you have some consumer protection.

AFF is a very corrupt site, but what keeps me going back is the chat room.  I have only paid for the service once. I wish someone else would buy it and clean it up, and I would pay for it again.  They need new staff.  Several of them have been there for years, and are not helpful, only making situations worse. Clearly they cannot come up with honest measures to make money and fairly manage their site.  The staff is part of the problem, not the solution.

Fed Up!

AUTHOR: litakitty - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, November 28, 2009

I just wanted to add my 2 cents regarding this company.  I am a female and have had 3 accounts deleted by this company for my passion.com and adultfriendfinder.com profiles.

I actually deleted the first profile I had with them because another member was very threatening towards me and I wanted to hide from him completely instead of just blocking him.  The next one I created was deleted because I said the account originated from where by boyfriend was living at the time in another state but it was a couples account.  I realize why they did that and it was my error, I didn't realize that they cared about the location since one of us did live in the other state.

I don't know if the above is what precipitated the following deletes but it seems coincidental.

I then created an individual account that was deleted without notice by passion.com.  This occurred after I wrote their customer service email with a question about how to freeze the image that shows when you are live web cam broadcasting and if there was any way to have control over that image.  Their response was to delete my account!  When I inquired as to why via email, they responded that they had evidence that was deemed concrete enough that I had violated their user agreement.  When I wrote back asking what evidence this was or what had I done, the response was that I pretended to be someone from another state (not the one my boyfriend lived in).  I responded that I did no such thing and wanted to see this "evidence" they were referring to.  I got the response to call their customer service phone number.  I was on perpetual hold for an hour.  They had a recorded option to leave my phone number for a call back.  When I finally selected this option, the recording said their voice mail was full!

This company is a joke.  They think that because the site is of a sexual nature and that people want their activity and interests kept private, they will not complain.  Not this time for me!  They just deleted my account AGAIN and I wrote telling them that if they do not make it right I will report them to the Attorney General's office.

ADULT FRIEND FINDER COMPLAINTS

AUTHOR: Ann - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Frustrated with no reponse from Friend Finder? That is because they don't care about members, only money. I worked for Friend Finder last year in billing and quit due to their frudulent business practices. Friend finder legally changed it's company name to VARIOUS, INC. in 2005. THAT NAME is where you can find more info.

IF YOU NEED TO CONTACT SOMEONE ABOUT YOUR FRIEND FINDER ACCOUNT CONTACT MARC BELL (New owner, aquired Friendfinder (AKA: Various, Inc.) in December 2007 for $500 million dollars.

If you want a (real) response) contact Penthouse Media Group for it is the new owner; Marc Bell is the CEO..
Simply Google Penthouse Media group for addresses(s) and phone numbers.
Oh, contacting the Attorney General of California helps. (They are aware of this company, I am sure.)

You're right on target, Mike

AUTHOR: Big Phil - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, November 01, 2007

When I found out my company wanted to transfer me to another state I began to check profiles there.
What I found was interesting.
I found a lot of profiles which matched many of the profiles in my own state almost word for word.
In addition, I found a few of the same pictures on profiles in the "new" state.

I was a member off and on for 7-8 years. I probably wrote to 100 women during that time.
I received one legit reply.
The rest were linked to porn web sites and/or escort services.

Not liars or scammers?

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 27, 2007

To Lisa who insists that AFF is not a bunch of liars and scammers. If that's true, than explain to me why the ads for AFF that are displayed on websites do not show actual members, but adult web models, and claim that these "members" are from a town near me. I find it funny that Katie from katies world shows up in your ads as being from all different towns in NJ (and TN when I was there on vacation) when she lives in neither, and is not a member. The truth is the site pays models to be on their ads and using HTML determines where you are located by where your internet connection is based and uses that geographical location to populate towns in the ads so that the "member" appears close to you.

Sounds like lying and scamming to me.

11 years & No Problems With Friendfinder sites

AUTHOR: Lisa - (Australia)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 27, 2007

Myself and my boyfriend have been members of Adultfriendfinder and ALT.com for around 11 years - both as paying and non-paying members. We met on ALT - and i know lots of others who have met on the sites, or met lots of people and had some serious fun.

Most of the people i've seen whinging on this site haven't read the site's rules. As for this specific complaint - if you let your membership lapse, or joined under a new name, then you'd get no benefits for having been a member, BUT if you really got overcharged, am sure they'd fix it. They always have for us with any problems, though we have never had ANY probs with charges.

Write to your membership level at the site - i.e. silver@adultfriendfinder.com - or phone them - i've done it from Australia with no problems. (unlike Kevin, who hysterically claims he can't phone the sites, it's easy enough, look on HELP pages on the site you joined on.) If Kevin put spaces in the email address as in his post here, then am not surprised email didn't get through, but maybe, (shock horror) was just a temporary glitch, maybe even a problem with Kevin's email, lol. Also - on the complaint forms - you have to go through several pages where the form shows you possible solutions to your problem, and if you don't click through all the pages, (Confirm button) then it won't send - i have ALWAYS got a reply from them.

Anyway - go to HELP page, click on 'how do i email your customer service department' and a message like this will appear... (this one is from Adultfriendfinder)...
"As a premium Silver member, you have several options to contact us. If you need immediate help, you can call our Customer Service support line at Main Tel: +1 650 847 3100
Fax: +1 650 324 9379. Our Customer Service Department accepts phone calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you have a billing related question, please call our Billing Department at +1 (650) 847-3149 (tel), +1 (650) 847-3113 (fax)."

People are so quick to blame sites for their problems - when is much more likely in this case that is simply misunderstanding. His other complaint i can't really say what's gone wrong there, as i've not used their pay movies thing. But there are plenty of 'FREE to paying members' cammers on there - real people camming for fun - so who needs to pay for it? Most Porn Movies are not worth the trouble - why would it be different here? Quality will depend on how good your computer is too - and frankly, anything designed to play on Windows Media Player isn't going to be brilliant quality.

By the way, Silver and Gold members can write to anyone, but it takes 3 days for Silver to see profiles for new members, whereas Gold get access to all members from moment they join. There is an option to say 'i don't want standard members to contact me' but it's bull**** to say (as someone has on here) that standard members can't be contacted or can't contact others - i did it for years as non paying member (standard).

If you are Standard (not paying) member, if enough people see your profile (like if you are woman with pics, not even hot ones) then you will get Popularity Privileges - which means u can see and write to up to 50 ppl in any one day.

Kevin and the others' accusations of deception are just that, accusations, baseless ones, and my time on the sites makes me think they've gone off on rants with no actual right to do so. Is scary to think any idiot who can barely type 'porn' into a search engine can post abusive 'reports' on this site with no actual checking as to whether there's any TRUTH in them.

In closing - they're not perfect, but they're not ripping off people. They're not scamming, they're not liars, they're not pretending to be anything other than sites where you can, if you put some effort in, meet people, to then meet in real life. Perhaps Kevin can phone AFF, get sorted out, and come back and edit his post.
