A couple of months ago around March/April time frame, I did a stupid thing, I was in desprate need of money so I went only through what I thought was a reputable website (AARP) and applied for a loan through there. I was thrilled to find that I was approved for the loan by Laura White - Senior Loan Officer (it may not by her real name). I should have known better when I was told to pay the first $400 up front and I would have monthly payment I would be able to handle. I also should have known better when I finally had the money to pay it that I would be paying to someone in Canada and not in the states. When I was told to wait about an hour and I should have the money, I realized that I never got it I call the number they provided 888-319-8884 (which was working at that time). 

When I called to inquire about the loan and why was it taking so long for me to get it I was told by Laura White that the person who approves the loans took another look at my credit score and found that they were different and I would need to send another $400 (Something they should have done in the first place). After I told her I wasn't going to that and I wanted my money back she told me that they didn't have in the funds to return it. I thought it was a lie because they just got my money and they could have sent it back. So she told me to call customer service and talk to them about getting my money back.

I called the number provied (above) and spoke to a guy who said that I would see a check in the mail on May 15th and every since then I have been trying to contact someone and never got a response. I called the provided number and now the number is no longer in service. I emailed Laura White to get a number for them, NO RESPONSE. I also emailed them ontheir website www.advancels.com and emailed them several times and still NO RESPONSE. This is the first for me I BEEN RIPPED OFF by this company.

The morale of the story is if you apply for a loan and get approved and told to pay up front DO NOT ACCEPT IT!!!!!!!! It is a scam, they just want your money. As of right now I still have not received my money back. After this this company may be using a different name or already RIPPING people off.
