We arrived and parked in a lot behind the building at the corner of peachtree and 8th in Atlanta GA.  there were absolutely no signs in the back anywhere.  We walked right across the street to eat lunch and returned to find the car was booted and a man was demanding $75 to take the boot off.

We asked where the sign was saying no parking, and he referred us to a front entrance and a sign that did not face a driver entering the driveway and was not at all near the parking area where we parked.   And this sign could not be seen where we were.

I have photos of the lot with no signs, and the location of the front sign.

We told Gerald of Advanced Parking that we would not have parked there had there been a sign indicating parking was not allowed.   He said he could care less and he needed the money to feed his kids.

He wrote on the ticket location #903.

Since there are several articles in the papers about this company's rip off tactics and the fact that the sign listed an owner of the parking lots name which phone number was disconnected, and it appears a company leases the lot and then hires ABS (booting) to do the booting makes it appear like a built up scam.

He also had just booted a lady who walked to the street only to read the address on the building, and thereby located Noodles restaurant which was where she was going and walked to and entered the restaurant to pick up her to go order.  Gerald booted her because she stepped on to the sidewalk even though she was just checking street addresses, and partronized one of the tenant restaurants in the front.   She had her restaurant receipt in hand when she came back to her booted car and Gerald again said he didn't care.  No one was allowed to leave the property even to the sidewalk - which information is also not on any sign.
