Advanced Communications Inc. Who cares about the disabled tech... Kalamazoo, Michigan

Alright first off let me start by saying I have worked for this company going on 2 years now and sometimes I wonder how I've made it this long. If you ask a aci technician if this job is for everyone they will tell you no in a heart beat. The first thing I want to touch on is that it is tottally false that only the strong survive at this job because EVERYONE I've have met from here down into chicago has some kind of crutch to keep them going. Pill heads, pot heads, big time drunks and everything inbetween. You work 7 days a week through the summer most of the time, with a possibility of 1 day off a month. Your working easily 12 hour days with up to 90 hours a week. They give you hand me down pole straps, which not to long ago a guy climbed a pole and it snapped underground while he was strapped off to it and he became parilized. YEA and the strap inspection was WAY PAST DUE. They recently bought a fleet of new trucks, now listen to this, everyone is being put in ford rangers with open truck beds to put all your stuff in with no cover for the snow, or ones with covers that freeze when the rain sits on them. There is no such thing as new ladders at this place, they are all old and who knows how long they have been around. Now there is potential to make good money at this place as long as you don't have a supervisor that shows favortism or likes you. He dosen't have control over what work comcast gives us in the morning, but if you pissed him off the day before he has control over you being out to midnight with 15 of the worst work orders along with 5 of them being NEVERS 'which are housees that have never had cable and want 12 or whatever cable boxes in there huge houses'.  Now through the winter its a dog eat dog world, you will probably not make any money in the area. I am working so you will have to travel to another state. I traveled 2 or 3 differents times last winter and I either had promises of making lots of money and didn't make any, or I was told to go try this area out and got done at work at 10, 11, 12 oclock everynight. Now try working your a*s off in a different area and being asked to drive 3 hours to work in Chicago the same morning you just drove an hour and a half to get to work. Try having that same person mess up horribly bad on your pay check for weeks and have you driving from a different area and because of this you are making way less on your pay check each week. When I confronted the regional manager about this he said there was nothing he could do and I wouldn't get any back pay, along with I am a unreliable worker! Talk about a slap in the face, I worked 14 to 18 hours a day, 7 days a week and drove an hour in a half to get to work and because I wouldnt drive all the way to chicago to  help with the routes there to take some stress off him thats how I was treated. There was a a lil while in that situation were people stopped coming to work because it was so bad and it was only me and a couple of other guys out hooking up crazy peoples cable at 2 in the morn. Gotta love how you start your day out with 13 jobs and the sup calls you to pick up a ton more to just because some of the other guys have worked there longer, or you don't b*ch about stuff like they do. Gotta love how HR messes up on your paychecks to and everyone tells you to keep track of your work performed. Gotta love how they don't train you very well AT ALL on how to do your paperwork along with anything else, so if you don't fill out you work forms right you won't get payed worth a s**t at this job, remember they only start you out at 7.75hr. I've read that other people have started out making 9.50 and 10 dollars in hour AND I HAVE NEVER RAN INTO ANYONE THAT MAKES THAT HOURLY PLUS REVENUE. I don't believe it, unless there suckin some major c*k. So anyway i could go on a on about this place allllll day. Let me get to the last big recent issue im have. This is my second time off drawing disibility, the first time i had alot of issues going on and really didn't know the causes of them. I found out later i was diagnosed with slipped discs, buldging discs, deterioration in my back which is causing scare tissue to build up and acting as arturitis and fibromyalgia. SO when i tried to go back to work the first time, everyone was aware of this, yet nobody gave a flying f*k and it seems i was forced to sit in my truck and travel more then, then i have been all year. I kindly explained lots of times that i can't go to my regular office, travel 100 miles to another office, travel another 40 miles to the town im suppose to work in and drive around all day, then drive another 50 miles to get home.  SO eventually after the beatings i am off on disibility again right now, and does anyone care what ive did or the sacrafices or how hard ive worked for this company. NOPE Has one person i worked with called, NOPE You know what iv'e got, the sup showed up at my house for the first time ever after i refused to drive to the shop, and picked up my work phone, my truck keys and said he would clean whatevers left in my truck up for me and keep it. SO along with that, i only get payed 183 dollars a week which is killing, im pretty close to being on the streets, i have a fiance and a 2 year old daughter to support. The insurrance i pay almost 100 dollars a week for just myself ain't worth a s**t and i have co-pays for EVERYTHING i do. So ya this is disgusting, whats even worse to me is that when i get to a customers house i actually like my job and working with people......
