I read about the product: Pure Acai Berry in a tabloid magazine. The article told how you could order this for only shipping charges; product being a FREE trial.

I ordered it for a charge of $4.95. I received it and my account was charged the $4.95.

I had no packing slip with my order. I also have no street address on my bottle or anywhere else.

Two weeks later (today) I see a charge for $78.84 on my credit card statement. There is a phone number along with that charge, and I attempted to call it. It is someone out of the country. The people do not speak English as their first language. I am being VERY polite with that comment.

I could not understand them AT ALL and they pretending to not be able to hear me. I re-dialed four times and each time, they acted like they could not hear me.

I went to the website that the number referred me to. I wrote a note telling them to cancel these charges. I received back a note telling me that they clearly state on their website that after 15 days I will be charged $78.84.

That is a LIE! When I went to the site to order I was arrived in a place that only asked for my name, address and phone number. Nothing was posted about the product or where this company is at.

When you call their number you cannot talk to anyone. They cannot speak English! And, they hung up on me. I intend to dispute this charge, non-the-less, with my bank and I am going on a letter writing campaign to anyone that will listen. This is pure FRAUD.

Our government needs to jump in here and protect us from these people. I would also LOVE to know what country they are in. Most likely it is India, where else! But, usually they can at least GRUNT where you can understand them. I could not understand one single word. Then I hear something like: I will say good-bye! I yelled: NO! Then click. Four times I waited on hold for that to happen.

Now, the bad part (as if this were not bad enough) is that since I cannot contact them to cancel this officially, this will re-occur again and again over time.

I intend to send back the bottle I have, but it is going without a street address?? I don't know if the Post Office will take it that way. But, there is no trace of an address on their website.

And, although I intend to get a signature (again more money because of them) they do not have to give me my money back (voluntarily) since their email said that after 15 days, I OWN IT!

If I had seen ANY note that told me this, I would have put it in the return mail. I only wanted it because it was supposedly a freebee.

I only hope that somebody reads this or another post regarding this company, and it saves them both time and money!
