They are a piece of work.

I use my advanta card for business, and one of the reasons I originally got the card was due to a low interest rate for one year. I put almost $20 grand for radio advertising on it, and paid it off over a year.

Over the last couple of years, I used it similarly, but all of a sudden, i saw the interest rate rise (august 08) to 35%!

I immediately called them, and some clerk who could barely speak english told me in a very thick indian accent that my fico score recently went down (i lost almost a hundred grand in the market), and that they were allowed to do this.

I asked her for a copy of my application, since, as an attorney for 24 years, would not normally sign an agreement that gave them carte blanche to do such a thing.

She told me it was not available. I demanded to speak to a supervisor, none was available. However, she promised a supervisor would call me back within 3 hours.

That call never came.

I am now aware that this is a standard practice of theirs, having read the blogs on the rip off site.

Now their time has come.

I am prepared to organize and file a class action law suit in the eastern district of new york, and am looking for members

please contact me at cloudcowboy@aol.com, and be sure to reference advanta in the subject line, or i won't open it.

Their time has come!

If you do a search for Advanta, you will file numerous complaints at this site for their practices. My complaint is filed under normal consumer. A class action lawsuit is what they need for sure.
