After receiving a call from what sounded like a young girl from this company ACI-Advantage Concepts Inc. asking me to come in for an interview I researched the company of course. I found nothing anywhere so this is why I am writing the report. To save others from wasting their time like I did. After arriving to this place I was shocked at what I found. Filthy carpeted floors with crap all over them, walls that look like they hadn't been painted for 20 years, two very young woman at the front desk dressed in short tight skirts, low cut tight shirts, stiletto heals, large tattoo's showing on their bodies (extremely unprofessional.) Looks like a fake business in general and a little creepy at that. At this point I wanted to run, they had me filling out a cheap application that literally had the same information on it as my resume which they already had and I had brought another. I immediately got the feeling that this was one of those pyramid schemes that leave the people on the bottom broke and the people at the top making money... I was applying for an assistant manager position... I decided to go through with the interview to see what kind of BS these people were going to try and feed me. I finally get in front of my interviewer and he is this young arrogant, cocky guy. The questions he had for me were complete BS. Did you play sports in highschool? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?.. and that's about it... nothing about qualifications, experience, nothing of any real value. So I took control of the interview... the ad said there was no cold calling or door to door sales. So how exactly do they "market" products and what products exactly are they marketing? The answer is that they send you out to stand in the Verizon stores and have you spend your time trying to sell Verizon Fios products, you will also be standing in Home Depot stores picking off people to sell roofing product's to. Benefits? They have no idea what exactly they offer but you can get them after 90 days and they don't contribute at all. When I asked why someone would buy the products from them vs going through the actual company that offers the products I was told that customers wouldn't have to go through a 1-800 number for customer service. Ha ha! No 401k, this guy couldn't even tell me what the pay range was. (If you haven't figured it out by now it's because there is none... it's 100% commission and I seriously doubt you'll even see money from what you DO sell. No gas or millage rembursment for your car so that's more money out of your pocket. Couldn't tell me what the hours were. At this point it was laughable... there were about 10 others waiting in line to hear this guy's BS. At one point this little punk tells me that he wouldn't have any of his guy's doing manual labor " because his guys are too good looking for that" As if men that work hard for a living aren't good looking... I can tell you one thing! HE wasn't very attractive that's for sure! Regardless, I've seen people lose EVERYTHING because of places like this... you'll work 15-16 hour days all week and have no money. They brainwash you and make you think that one day you too will own your own business. Oh, and don't park in the actual parking lot, you have to park on the street because the parking lot is for the legit businesses in the building. Did I mention that there was NO ASSISTANT MANAGER POSITION! It's scary to think that people buy into those places and believe that BS. But I thought I would warn people before wasting a resume, your gas, and your time even going to that place... I hope this helps someone from allowing these fake companies to ruin your life. Because they will run you dry and take everything they can from you and if you quit they already have the next person waiting in line... Hope it helps!

Advantage Concepts-The facts behind the bussiness

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 22, 2015

First I would like to address and inform my audience of what a pyramid scheme is. A pyramid scheme requires an individual to pay money upfront for a place in the business, and is then provided with a product and required to get others to pay money under them in order for the original paying member to advance. The person writing this review clearly does not understand this concept, and as a result provided faulty information. If you go by their definition then every company in America should be labeled as a pyramid scheme. Due to the fact that in a large corporation entry level positions do large amounts of work for lower pay then the executives and owners at the top (common sense, and knowledge). As far as advantage concepts goes it is a new company that does Direct marketing for Verizon Fios. I've been working for 4 months have received paid training, pay advances, and once I was an active trained representative competitive pay every week. In the short time I've been here I have been consistently able to save money while also learning about business, and what it takes to be an entrepreneur. I've seen three promotions to management (incorporations to ownership), and traveled to other offices throughout the east coast to revive additional training and business exposure. As far as pay goes it is 100% commission which is only scary to people who aren't willing to work hard for their money. I was tired of working harder then the guy next to me for hourly pay so performance based pay makes sense to me. If you are lazy and not willing to work hard commission should scare you like it did the person writing this original review. In regards to the company being a scam all I can say is why would a Fortune 500 company like Verizon Fios choose to do business with a scam? The answer is they wouldn't we are responsible for 60% of direct marketing sales for Verizon, which is why we are compensated so well for our work. I've never stood in a store or Home Depot, and have never had an issue with pay. We are given leads based off of a customer interest in our products and we go to the homes that have requested or received Verizon mail. No cold calling, knocking, or random pitching of any kind. Hope this was helpful feel free to contact me with any additional questions. 4438457009
