Hello i am writing this ripoff report on APD i first saw them advertise on T.V about inventions and i had an idea so i gave them a call. The first conversation was just brief they ask me to come into the office so i did. I first met with APD on March 05 2008 i signed a statement of confidentiality and Non-Disclosure form after that we discussed my idea i was so excited that i was about to make my dream come true. The gentleman's name was Chuck vanderdrift he said i had a really good idea and their is a huge market for it i would make a lot of money and finally be financially secure.

I was told there would be two phases one being phase I: Product Profile Report $1,190.00 that would take 9-11 weeks. This would be one of many mistakes with this so called company. Phase II Product Submission to the industry $ 7,500-12,00 Internet Webpage $750.00 Three Dimensional Model $1,895. I didn't have the money so my parents gave me $1,190.00 so i could pursue my dream. It was about two months later on July 01 ,2008 i received a call from APD saying i could move forward

there was no other patents pending like my invention i was excited at this point he asked i come in to the office to discuss phase II at this point Chuck said it would be $9,350 to obtain my patent i was very trusting he made me fell very comfortable and positive about my invention. Also said my product would be in the 271, billion dollar industry(wow being a mother of four) i told him i would have to talk with family or find an investor to help with the financial part he said there was over 3,000 manufacturer that would be interested in producing my product.

I prayed and talk to some family members about investing that everything looked promising my Sister and Brother In-laws at the time believed in me and invested $9,350.00 that they had in savings. I was feeling so good about everything it was all working out i had the support of my family and the company was acting excited seeing that they would receive (20%) of the net sale price they shot figures at me what i would be receiving in royalty made it so very promising to me.

They sent out some material for my approval and said they send out brochure but never send me proof like they said they would. I had to call several times to ask for the list they sent my product to finally they sent a list. After awhile i didn't hear from anyone i tried calling the phoenix office phone was disconnected called the main number in Pawleys Island,SC just kept getting the run around i did receive my provisional patent guess that cost me $ 9,350.00 after the two year agreement with APD i never heard from them again

as far as i am concerned they can not be trusted and they take advantage of people that have hope and dreams and just want to make a better life for their families and live the american dream! They rob and stole my dream and all my hope i had for the future i wanted to give back to my family. I hope my story can help some one else out so they don't invest in this or similar  scams and so called honest companies they are the only ones getting rich off our honest hard working money. I feel very jaded now and don't know who to trust and where to start with my patent to much money has been invested now this is so frustrating. Better luck to the next reader.
