Aegis Mortgage Corporation Did not give us RESPA papers; or Right of Reccision on Mortgage, ripoff Houston Texas

When we first called to get a financing quote from Aegis, they quoted us $510-$560 a month. That was within our budget, and since we are on a fixed income, we decided to apply. We went through all the necessary steps; paid for an appraisal, etc. On the last night the loan was still applicable, at 11:30 PM, the mortgage company sent someone to our house to close on the loan!
It wasn't until this time we found out our payment was $748.82 a month!!

What were we to do? We had waited all this time, paid for the appraisal, had arrangements made to fence in our yard with the loan proceeds, etc. We didn't find out until recently that we never got RESPA papers, or Right of Reccision papers on our loan. That they should have told us the correct payment amount within the first 72 hours of applying!

We are both disabled, and on SSD. Our payment is about to go up considerably because we are on an adjustable rate nonetheless; and being on a fixed income, we won't be able to afford it. I am terried that I will lose my home now. I cannot afford an attorney. I just don't know what to do.

I feel they took total advantage of us, and this should be made right. We can't finance with someone else as our credit is shot due to numerous medical bills. Someone please help us!
