AFFILIATED ACCEPTANCE Ripoff Misrepresenting Services Offered Refusal To Correct Fraudulent Charges Fenton Michigan

I heard an ad on the radio claiming "Be one of the next ten callers for a free gym membership". I called the ad and was told i had to goto the Fenton Powerhouse Gym to get all the details. My wife and i went there to find a sales table set up. The sales.... yes i said sales woman told me "It is a free membership - all you pay is the maintainance fees for 2 years". I said ok. she went on to explain about the gym , at witch point i pointed out that i was a member already at the powerhouse in Flint and was just looking to renew it. She said OK and started her speal about the money. She wanted the money p front for two years. I do not know bout you but when i am going to hear about a "FREE" membership i do not come prepared to write out over 400 dollars for it. She said that was fine and told me about their payment plan, witch was of course alot more -but still less than the full years membership. We singed the contract happy about the money we saved untill.........

We went into our gym and swiped the little card s we were given, and was denied. We were told that the membership we bought was only good at the gym in fenton. Fenton is 40 miles from my house. Who in their right mind drives 80 miles round trip to work out??

I have asked the repeatedly to just switch the membership so i can se it and they refuse. So i refused to pay the bills. Actually had to closed out an account to get them to stop billing me. Now there are marks on both our credit reports over this account. I do not feel that i should have to pay 1200 dollars for services i did not get. The woman did not bother to tell me that although i wanted a membership in Flint this membership was only good in Fenton . Even after i had voiced that i was looking to up that membership. She just wanted the commision.

Since then i have contactedThe gym owner who told me she only gets "half that money" and "I should have known the membership was just for one gym" and "they are very reputable". So she refused to help at all.

What can i do ???
