This company initially seemed like a godsend to two financially struggling college students. I walked into this small shoddy looking place with a laptop with a bad DC jack, simple fix for any professional computer repair tech, I would know, I am in school for it. I would perform the service myself however collecting a soldering gun, and pins and other materials seemed unnecessary as the service was "Affordable" -set to be around $100 for both parts and labor combined. They told me and my girlfriend two weeks and they'll have it done. A two weeks went by, I placed a phone call to them asking when they project I could pick up my laptop, They said that the guy had just opened it to take a look. And then another week, a phone call to them, they stated they were waiting on the replacement part to arrive. Then hurricane sandy hit. After another week, I call asking yet again the status of my computer. I was told that due to hurricane sandy, the replacement charger had not yet arrived. Disgruntled but understanding, I said "thank you, please let me know" and hung up. Another week went by, now at the beginning of week 5, I receive a phone call to come pick up my laptop, Great. Upon arrival, the gentleman explained to me that upon inspection, he concluded that it was "too risky" to perform the installation, and he was not willing to perform it, thankfully not charging me for wasting my time. 5 weeks of using the school library and being unable to turn in certain assignments, and being constantly lied to by the three gentleman (if you can call them that) at this "repair shop" I receive a laptop with 4 missing harddrive screws and 2 missing 4 gigabyte sticks of DDR3 Ram (had 8 gigs), it had two 2 gigabyte sticks, non OEM. Outraged I called them and asked them about the missing/replaced parts. They stated that it was impossible because they never removed any parts from the laptop. Bullcrap. Two weeks later, I ordered the part online and did the installation myself, it was painless, unlike my experiences with the lying, thieving, west lawn computers. . [continued below]....
