Affordable Global vacations Synergy Vacation Club Total scam! Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

One fine day I received a call from this Affordable  Global Vacations  (aka Synergy Vacation Club) ,saying that I won a car or a TV, from an entry in a mall and that I have to go to their office with my spouse in Lake Geneva,Wi., to claim the price.
And when we reached there the next day, there were already about 10 families waiting to claim the price!!
They made us all sit in a room and there dashed in their representative.He introduced himself and he asked us all what we do for living and what car we drive and stuff.Then he started talking about their vacation club and gave us all kinds of convincing false statements as to how much a vacation can save if we go with their membership. 
After more than an hour of video presentation, he brought in more representatives, one for each family.They took us in to a different room with tables set up for each family.
He had all papers ready and rushed us to take their membership saying that the membership is $6000 for life ( for two weeks vacation per year booked through them) and whoever decides first gets $2000 off of the amount. Not wanting to lose the deal we, the fools, signed up first.
Till then there were no mention about the PRICE we went for!
Then we were guided to a different room to sign the contract and stuff  and the price was that they added one more week to the vacation plan to make it three weeks per year ( No TV  or anything that called us for)
There was another hitch :To keep the membership alive you need to pay $172 renewal fee each year.
After getting back home we realized it was a huge amount and not worth  the money, we called them back to cancel since we had two days grace period. After several calls they responded , but said they may not be able to cancel but can try to bring down the membership.After persisting call from us , they reduced the membership to $2000.
Later when we started planning our vacation, we realized that  several websites are offering much better rates than them.we took two big vacations and we never booked anything through them.It's a complete waste of money and  it's an absolutely scam scheme.
Moreover they have a sister concern or something  with the website"saveonresorts.com".This website is exactly the same as the synergy's website , but it's free to anyone.Got it? Synergy is robbing our money just to use a free website! 
So, STAY AWAY people! DON'T even show up if you receive such call. Nothing is free in this world. I've lost my money, you don't!
