we've all seen the AFLAC commercials on TV, you get hurt and can't work, they pay you while you're off. sounds good. i bought into it at work. i got hurt last summer and couldn't go back to work. great , i have AFLAC!

Wrong! they bog you, your employer, and doctors down with so much paperwork it's rediculous! it has to be mailed across the country, after each individual fills out his part on the sheet. so you wait weeks. maybe there wasn't any errors in your paperwork and you'll get a check in a few months. will your bill collectors wait? do you have extra money saved just in case? you better! if my husband and i hadn't put money away, we'd be homeless! lucky for us the kids are grown! don't buy into the scam!

now, i have to deal with longterm disability, and it's even worse! i have waited 4 months for a tiny check to come in! but it's my money and i out waited them! it's a game! be safe out there!

You are wrong About Aflac

AUTHOR: Mrs. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 08, 2004

Aflac is a great company not only to do business with but also to work for. Faxing claim forms is also an option so you could've faxed your claim and we would have processed your claim quicker. The claims fax# is indicated on the top of the form. You chose to rely on snail mail when sending your claim forms and we at Aflac cannot control how fast we recieve mail. The paperwork really is not that difficult to complete as the claimant since you only have to write down general information such as your name, address, policy number, date of birth and date of the injury.

It is not feasible for Aflac to wait for you to go back to work injured before we pay your claim. If you re-injure yourself, we still have to pay claims to you. I regret that you may have a negative experience with filing your claims but delaying claims is not how we operate at Aflac. We really do have faster claims processing than most insurance companies.

YOU HAD A BAD AGENT

AUTHOR: Grady - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 19, 2004

I am an Independent Agent with AFLAC as are all agents in the field. The AFLAC Home Office in Columbus, GA generally does not file claims, they PROCESS them. It's the responsability of your agent to fill out the papers properly and submit them to AFLAC. If they don't do it right then things can get bogged down.

Unfortunately there are some agents out there, as there are for many comapnies, that don't have much experience. If you don't get satisfaction on a claim (which hardly ever happens with AFLAC I promise) contact your State Sales Coordinator immediatley.

When selecting AFLAC coverage it would'nt hurt to find out how much AFLAC experience this person has had. If not much, make sure you get the name and number of their District Sales Coordinator just in case if there are problems down the road.
