*Consumer Suggestion: Florida statute of limitations
i was contacted thru the mail by Afni, Inc. Collections. They said i owed $165.15 for an AT@T Mobility account from 2005, but would settle for $50.00. I called Afni and they said it was a Cingulair account, who is now owned by AT@T, and would like to settle my payment today. I told them no, that i would do some further investigating. i called AT@T, told them about this, they brought up my account and showed that i have a 0.00 balance. I do not owe anything to this company and do not want to ever be contacted by Afni Collections again.

is 4 years - if this account is from 2005, and you have not made any payments, AND this is the first you have been contacted..... it is noncollectable under state law - IF you even owed it to begin with
