I REPORTED TO FT.LEWIS,WA RIGHT AFTER BASIC TRAINING......I GOT VERIZON THINKING IT WAS A PRETTY GOOD COMPANY. WELL, AFTER MY CONTRACT AND PAYING OFF MY LAST BILL, I STARTED GETTING COLLECTION BILLS SAYING I OWE $890.00 ......I CALLED MANY TIMES AND THEY SAID I NEED TO PAY THAT, EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD NO EXPLANATION FOR IT! THEY ALSO PUT IT ON MY CREDIT REPORT SO NOW IM HAVING TO PAY $200 A MONTH FOR 4 1/2 MONTHS TO PAY IT OFF CUZ THEY SCREWED MY CREDIT UP..THANKS VERIZON..AFNI!! SUCH A SCAM

Brian, before you pay them another dime, you need to sent the collection agency a "debt validation request". They need to proof to you that you owe this debt. Do a search on debt collectors and debt validations and they even have sample letters you can send to them.
