if you were any kind of instructor you were taught that a child's attention span does not last for more than 15-20 minutes. These children can not sit for 45 minutes listening to someone rambeling on about what form means what and where it comes from. They just don't want to hear it then they don't enjoy or want to be instructed.  Your RIP OFF priceS, and the bogus contracts that are handled out of state by possibly family members...unethical. As to the corner do Jo I would much rather know where I stand with pricing as to finding out that at ABBA charges what they want.  All i'm saying is that you should check out others pricing, because people in that studio are paying by income not by a list price like other studios.  As to being american maybe you should go back to where ever you came from.  At least by being an american I can say that our soldiers protect those ignorant countries that can't protect themselves.  

As an instructor myself I am here to tell YOU that the "blah,blah,blah" is VERY important!! Then again, people like YOU have no TRUE understanding of martial arts. YOU dont understand that the lectures are for THEIR benefit. When you teach children, you MUST impart the importance of WHAT they are doing. A child doesnt have the nessasary life experience in order to understand the sheer DAMAGE even one move can do. While YOU may not like that they are "lecturing" your child, when you teach a human being to harm another you need to teach the consequences of those actions. Its NOT a ripoff to ensure that the student isnt going to end up in jail for killing someone by doing the wrong move.

As for pricing, Im sorry, YOU went with what is known as a "Corner Karate Dojo". Its ALL about the money because THEY HAVE A BUSINESS TO RUN!!. There is rent, electricity, insurance, payroll. All these bill MUST be paid. How exactly would you expect them to continue teaching YOUR child if they couldnt pay their bills. I guess YOU are one of those people who thinks ONLY YOU are allowed to make money OR a profit. Typical American Selfishness.
