I went on line and ordered what I thought was a good deal for a 350 engine for my truck, it was delivered and sent to mechanic. When mechanic tried to install the engine several problems were discovered with the engine. This is where the major problem begins: I called AIM and talked to Andrew about the warranty needing to be used, he said he would have the manager call me. after a week of no calls, I called AIM and finally talked to Brian the supervisor/manager and he had no idea what I was talking about. I informed him of the issues with the engine and he said he would look into the issue and call me back. a week passed and no calls, so I called him again. Brian said they would need their mechanic to look at engine for warranty coverage. 1st Brian tried to tell me that because the install didn't begin right after receiving it that that was a problem... I disagreed as the time was well within the 90 warranty time. Brian told me that their mechanic would go look at the engine. This took two weeks for the mechanic to take a look and agree that the engine required a warrantied rebuild. they said they would pick up the engine....Nope after two weeks the engine still has not been pick up. Every time I called AIM I received a lot of lipservice that this would be taken care of, then nothing happens. I have records of every time I called and talked to them, I have records of the purchase. Meanwhile the mechanic who I have doing the install has to charge me storage fee because he is stuck with a bay being taken up and can't finish working on this because AIM has stalled and done nothing to rectify this issue. so lets do the math on the storage charges being assessed because of AIM not doing the right thing: 6 weeks X $20.00 a day = $840.00 This is on top of the cost of having to repull the engine so AIM could pick it up (engine pulled and ready for a few weeks now). so there is a labor charge for this $400.00. So now there is a $1,240.00 cost on top of the initial cost for installing the engine and still my truck has been unable to be completed for a few months now because AIM has not honored what they said they were going to do causing serious delays. At this point, I would never recommend AIM to anyone, I feel as though I'm being screwed. I served this country as a Marine for over 20 years and have tried to maintain my bearing with this company. I will ensure every other Marine, Veteran and person I know and come into contact with knows just how badly I've been treated by this company. I want this situation fixed to include recompense for additional costs caused by their inaction and stalling.
