Air Miles Consumer Research They sent a letter and a check for $3530.00 acting like I had been selected to be a Mystery Shopper. They wanted me to deposit the check in my bank and wanted me to wire $2980.00 and shop with the rest. Asking me to turn in receipts for shopping and for the money transfer. I called them and all I could get is an answering machine. Left number no one has called me back. I have not deposited. Memphis Tennessee

I received a letter stating that I had been selected for a Mystery Shopper and they sent a check along with a breakdown of what it was to be used for. They wanted me to go shopping and wire some money. I called to get some details and was greeted with an answering machine acting like a call center. I left a message with my phone number and no one has called me back. The check is for $3530.00 I have not deposited the check because a coworker warned me that there was scam going on. Some one needs to put a stop to this kind of thing. I for one don't have an extra 3500 setting around to get ripped off. I did some research and found this website.

As stated on right here on ROR /Consumer Alerts

The check is fake and will bounce even if the people at the bank say to deposit it.

Do not deposit it. Take the info and go to the authorities.

the check for approx 4000.00 is not valid, it looks real with all the appropriate markings. Take the check to your bank and have them check it out.... but don't deposit it. Call your states attorney general office to report it.
