I decided to go online and try and find online classes to further my education, since im always too busy. This was one school i found & one other as well. The only difference was that AIU called me very fast, but i didn't take it as bad. For the other school they emailed me information and that was all. No calls or rambling on. When AIU called, I talked and told the person i spoke with, basicaly my life story. He just kept talking and talking, continuing to ask one question after another. He basically asked me about my life & got my background of what schools ive attended & work. We were basicaly on the phone for over an hour, because by that time he had drawn me into filling out all this paperwork. It was a friday, and on Saturday and Sunday i filled out the rest as i awaited for his call on Monday afternoon.

I was headed to work, not in front of a computer. He said that was fine, and i happened to mention if he knew what classes i would be taking, he told me a success class was my first course. Now im sorry but that made me think, why would i need to take a success course & how to succeed if im already figuring out what i want in life & taking steps toward it. Thats just something you would do in high school if u ask me. I continued to talk to him and he was saying how i can start classes that following week, & i hadnt even payed for the application fee. I hadn't even finished my financial aid out all the way, because i was waiting for my pin to be activated. I must say if it wasnt for me having to wait them 1-3 business days, I would have fell right into the whole thing without hesitation.

I went to work, where I'm a manager at, and talked to my GM and asked him why would they put me in such a course. He looked at me & told me i need to look further into the school, & it was probably scam. I left work that night & got straight onto the computer and looked up AIU SCRAM & alot of information popped up. I must say i hope they dont have too much of my information that my name & where i live & phone number would get tossed around. I am grateful to have found this site & hope i have helped someone else. This site has helped me very much. I am now going to wait for him to call me tomarrow and see what he has to say when i ask him about this scam. I will then follow up to my story. I will probably get very mouthy with him, but to ask me my personal business & then try & scam me, ha, I think not! THIS SCHOOL IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AIU ONLINE

I was a student of AIU on campus. However, I also had online classes, I know exactly what class you are talking about but, I took that class on campus. He was right, it's a class called University Success. The name of the class sound corny but it really help you along the way. It's a class that get you prepared for college. The work that you do in that class is what will prepare you to do your assignments. Example, my major is Criminal Justice, we have a lot of research, reading, and writing to do. The professor have you to research a certain topic, just so you know what the professor is talking about when you take your actual classes. They would also have you to write reports on a given or chosen topic and put it in APA Style. Not only that, they teach you how to take a test. They tell you not to spend so much time on a problem if you don't know it, pass it and go to the next question so you won't spend a lot of time on one question (sounds weird) but again it helps. At the bottom is the book that I used to take the class, I just had it near by because that's one of the books that I'm going to sell. So, if that's what you want to do is further your career, that's a class that is required to take other classes. That might not be your first class to take but eventually you would have to take it. Some students took maybe three regular classes such as math, college reading or something like that first, then they went on and took that class but, University Success is a class that is required to take any class that you might want to major in.
