I purchased an AKAI television from Conns in Houston, Texas. About 6 months after getting the television, it would go black but you could hear the sound. We contacted customer service several times with Conns and it was always Oh, you have to contact AKAI. I sent emails to the Akai (over 9 of them) I'm still waiting for that call back or a response on "how they could help me". Now that the warranty has run out and the television does not work, I took it to the shop. A television that cost over 1000.00 is going to cost me over 500.00 to repair. Something that would of been covered under warranty had someone from AKAI returned my calls or emails instructing me on how to proceed.

Okay, I don't know if the rip off report or my persistant phone calls is what did it. But....I now have a new television. They gave me full credit for the television I purshased. Whatever miricle worked, I thank AKAI for finally taking care of the problem.
