Nick Chavis is the Sole Proprietor of the Alamo City Armageddon Semi-pro football team, which is a member of the Cross Roads Amateur Football League. In a ploy to garner the respect of the community and potential sell of season tickets, Mr. Chavis by and thru the use of players from the team, have advertised, publized, and solicted that all money from the team goes to charity.  More specific, those charity that they claim to be providing money to is the Wounded Warriors, Semper Fi, and the USA.

These 3 named groups do not have any affiliation or knowledge of Nick Chavis or the Alamo City Armageddon. Moreover, each of these groups require that you register and be approved by them to fund raise and use their respective names. After visiting each website of these charities, neither Nick Chavis or his business the Alamo City Armageddon are registered with these charities.

Mr. Chavis should be ashamed to be benifiting from the use of the names of these great charities, to help sell tickets for his games.  Nick Chavis has stated that all money goes to the charities. Good people purchased the season tickets to help the charities, yet after their first game they were $3000 in the hole. SO WHERE IS THE MONEY FOR THE CHARITIES?  BUYERS HAVE BEEN DUPED.

These charities are meant for our former and current military service members.

Mr. Chavis and his accomplices have been selling tickets in front of Academy Sports Stores and Walmart Stores on the Southeast and Southsides of San Antonio. On their Facebook page, and Forums they state all money is for these charities. Lies, Total Lies. And he has duped his players into taking part in this CRIME.

DO NOT PURCHASE SEASON TICKET PASSES or ATTEND GAMES HOSTED BY THESE FRUADSTERS. They are NOT registered with ANY of the charities that they claim they will donate to.  If they sold on season pass ($25), then $25 should be going to the charity, this is NOT the case, they are paying Nick Chavis' bills for the team.

GOD BLESS THIS FOOTBALL TEAM

AUTHOR: Imalady - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 28, 2012

A friend of mine read this story and told me I had been taken advantage by this football team I bought season tickets from at Academy. But after reading all this nonsense Im gonna try and set the record straight and speak my mind.

When I was leaving Academy, the team was there selling their tickets and talking to me about their football team.  I decided to buy 2 passes because they were only $25.00.

They never even talked about charities or military.  Alls they talked about was that new stadium. Now I was a little taken back when I was handed a voucher and I was told by the boys that my season pass would be given to me at the gate at the stadium and Im not gonna lie I thought I got ripped off while I was walking to my car. But I went to the teams 1st home game this past Saturday and my name was on the list just like the email i got from them said.

These boys and the team never not once said to me anything about charities or military so I dont feel like I was duped or lied to or forced to buy anything from them.

You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to knock on these boys for staying off the street and playing old fashioned football. they are doing something good with our neighborhood and giving our babies something to look forward to when they grown up.

This person that is writing all this trash does not know that God has a plan for this field and if God didnt see something good in this team, God would not have allowed them access. Do you know what happens when you mess with a pastors vision and children of God? If you fear God, you are about to tread on holy ground. These kids played their hearts out in the cold and the game was good. If you like football you need to buy some tickets and take your kids. To this team, I just want you all to walk it out and push through this hatred and keep doing what you all is doing. you must be doing something righte to be making this man squirm his pants the way he is. just walk it out.

Please, everyone can see through the smoke and mirrors.

You go off subject stating that one can NOT read or comprehend to elude from what the subject is about.

First and foremost, you were quoted in a recent forum "I don't keep any of the money, it all goes to charities, Wounded Warrior, Semper Fi, and USO". Then, you quote from your very own website stating the very fact that you give to these charity.  YOU don't make any money at your games as you stated, so what money do you have to donate????  The names of the charity are only used to benefit you and your racket, and to dupe others into thinking you are doing something for the community. And you ARE NOT registered with any of these charities to use their name or use for events.

You go further to act as though you are the answer to education, the "Savior" of the school districts, you will fill their coffers by renting their facilities.  All this is words to dupe people into believing you are doing something for the community. You even go as far as to say YOU have acquired the Wheatley Heights Sports stadium, an attempt to have people believe that you purchased the stadium.

You also state you are going to help the school districts with their cash problems, the Wheatley stadium does not belong to you "as you say you have acquired it", nor does it belong to ANY school district or school.  So, your quote from your website is a LIE.

You even go as far as to note that you served in the U.S. MILITARY, in your rebuttal and your website. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED using that as a means to promote your team and ticket sales.

Anyone reading this should beware, this happens in San Antonio about every four years, someone blows into town with their SEMI-PRO and making promises of all they are going to do for the community, and just ripoff every person or business in some manner.

You also go as far as to state that your team is not semi-pro, PLEASE DON"T SUGAR COAT the fact. YOU ARE SEMI-PRO. Your team is listed on 2 different websites that rank SEMI-PRO teams Nationally. So, that is ANOTHER LIE!

PLEASE QUIT USING THE NAME OF CHARITIES  THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE, AND DUPING PEOPLE INTO PURCHASING TICKETS TO A GAME THEY DON"T WANT TO GO TO, BUT PURCHASE BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE THEY ARE HELPING THE CHARITIES YOU CLAIM TO GIVE TO.

Rebuttal to False Accusations Written in the Ripoff Report:

Report#845051

Complaint Review: Alamo City Armageddon

Reported By: Ashamed-San Antonio Texas United States of America

Reported/Submitted/Posted: Sunday, February 26, 2012

Alamo City Armageddon Nichols Wayne Chavis Fraud Deceptive Unauthorized Use of Charity Names Converse, Texas

Alamo City Armageddon was a direct target of false accusations in the Ripoff Report at www.ripoffreport.com/sports-teams-clubs/alamo-city.  The teams owner, Nick Chavis, along with his Director of Football Operations, Everett Hernandez; have joined together to respond to this report with goals to repair the teams reputation from these allegations.

In the first paragraph of Ashameds allegations, he/she introduces Nick Chavis as the Sole Proprietor of the Alamo City Amageddon and lists the team as a member of the Cross Roads Amateur Football League.  These particular statements are accurate.  Mr. Chavis is indeed listed as a Sole Proprietor with a DBA listed as Alamo City Armageddon Football Program and the team is most definitely a member of CRAFL.

However, the team is not a semi-pro team.  The team humbly maintains amateur status to allow the players their right to still be eligible for college walk on or for scouting purposes.

Ashameds allegations also reflect that named charities such as Wounded Warriors, Semper Fi and the USA are charities that the owner and the team have ployed to garner the respect of the community and potential sell of season tickets, Mr. Chavis by and thru the use of players from the team, have advertised, publized, and solicted that all money from the team goes to charity.

If you take the time to read our HISTORY link on our website www.alamocityarmageddon.com, a comprehensive statement would reflect more accurately.

The Alamo City Armageddon wants to take amateur football to a fresh new level, by giving back to San Antonio. The team plans to do this by renting a local school districts stadium to put surplus money back into that school districts budget. ACA feels that with the current need to help save our Texas schools; this is an excellent way to give back to the community and the State. The teams goals are to donate money towards college scholarships and local charities.

Because the team has Active Duty Military members, along with several US Veterans to include founder, Nick Chavis; the Alamo City Armageddon has a special place in their hearts for our United States Military both past and present. So in addition, Chavis vision is to donate funds toward the USO and Wounded Warrior Project.

Playing football here in San Antonio will allow them the opportunity to raise money for these organizations. Sponsorship and support from San Antonio businesses will also create synergy between the team and local commerce. This, combined with a solid fan base, will be a win-win situation for our city as a whole.

Lets win the hearts of San Antonio and play some football!
- Alamo City Armageddon

As seen in the above excerpt from the Armageddons History statement, it is clear that the team has not indicated that all money from the team goes to charity.  Any business savvy individual would automatically know that if all profits went directly to charity, the business would be set up as a Non-Profit Organization.

In paragraph two, Ashamed comments on the need to be registered with these particular charities in order to donate to them with fundraisers and to use their respective names. This information is true, however, ACA has not even had its 1st fundraiser to date.

Up until now, Mr. Chavis has used his personal funds to cover every aspect of debt the team has incurred.  With the exception of ticket and concession sales at the teams 1st home game at Wheatley Heights Amateur Sports Complex on Feb. 25th, 2012.  Those funds were used to pay the hired help for that nights game.

In paragraphs three, four and five; Ashamed just continues to rant and rave over the lack of his reading comprehension skills and his lack of knowledge on the truth about ACA.

To put San Antonians at ease about this rubbish, rest assured knowing that the purchase of a $25.00 Season Pass will get you a great football game and great entertainment.  It will also help us pay for our newly acquired stadium.

By putting this particular stadium to use, it will alleviate some of the financial strain the sports complex may have put on Bexar County tax payers.

Please see the report from 2/20/12 on www.kens5.com

Titled: City Tax Money Kick-Starting Troubled S.A. Sports Complex

Despite all the naysayers; Alamo City Armageddon is in the process of Geddon it done.  Once the team starts generating efficient revenue, the team still plans to start a scholarship fund and donate to the Wounded Warrior Project and to the USO. Mr. Chavis also plans to donate to Semper Fi.
