I hired ALB Moving Corp through the website uShip.com to deliver my property from Naperville, IL to Houston, TX. I agreed to pay them $1,250 for services rendered.
Miguel Alberti, owner and driver for the company, picked up my property on May 30th, with an agreed-upon delivery date of June 10th. I had not heard from them in the days leading up to June 10th, so I decided to call them on June 9th to check in and see what the status is. They informed me they would not be able to deliver my property on June 10th as agreed. Apparently, they had trouble with another shipment that was delayed.
The woman who works their phones, Claudia Duarte, told me that the driver said I told him anytime after the 10th would be okay for delivery. I had told them the only day I would be available would be June 10th due to work committments. I would never have given an open-ended window for delivery of my property
When they told me they would not be able to deliver on the 10th as agreed, they stated that it would be at least that Monday or Tuesday (the 13th or 14th) before they would be able to deliver my property. When M/T came around, I was unable to get a hold of anyone at the company. When I finally got a hold of them, they "guaranteed" it would be there on Thursday, June 16th.
Once Thursday came around, I was unable to get a hold of them once again. This pattern of them guaranteeing a date and then being MIA when that date rolled around continued for weeks, with a variety of excuses as to why they were unable to deliver my property, such as a broken down truck. The last time I spoke with them was Tuesday, July 5th. At that time, they told me they were still working on getting the truck repaired but that they would be able to deliver my property on Friday or Saturday, July 8th or 9th, and that they would call me on Thursday, July 7th to confirm the date.
Again, I was unable to get a hold of them when Thursday, July 7th rolled around and have not been able to reach them since. It is now July 17th, more than FIVE WEEKS after the agreed-upon delivery date. They continuously ignore my calls/emails/texts and refuse to let me know where my property is at. At this point I can only assume they have stolen my property. I have also tried to have the website uShip.com who brokered the deal get in contact with them as well, and that was unsuccessful too.
This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR PROPERTY AS I HAVE SEEN ANOTHER REPORT ON THIS SITE WITH BASICALLY THE SAME FACT PATTERN.

Guys,
I am in the same situation right now. I am trying to deal with Claudia and she keeps giving me a similar run around. My stuff was picked up from New Orleans on July 1 and is supposed to be deliverd to Mckinney, Tx this Saturday. Yet she will not committ to a time or driver. Miguel was my driver that picked up my stuff after being 30 hours late and ruining plans. He said at that time he was the only driver of ALB moving. Now his phone isnt working and I told this to claudia and she says "oh we have many drivers".
I am very nervous I will not get my stuff, just like you guys. Have you received your items yet?
I can be reached at nicholsmatt343@gmail.com
Thank you
Matt

ALB Moving has been in possession of my household goods for almost two months now. I would be interested in hearing your updates since you and I are on the same route. They need to deliver my things to Dallas and your things to Houston. We should be on the same trip but quite honestly I don't believe that we'll ever see our things again. At this point, I am looking for a civil contract attorney in Florida.
