This is a link to the Senate letter to Mr. DiSorbo investigating his companies and their outrageous practices. I spoke to the representatives today, there is info at the end of my post. If you have been ripped off by one of these companies, call the Senate, Melanie Tiano or Erik Jones at 202-224-1300, and tell them about it.

We packed everything ourselves. Pickup was to be Thursday or Friday. We had to call dispatch ourselves to find out. They kept cancelling and rescheduling at the last moment. The bottom line, our pickup did not happen until the following Tuesday night. We finished loading their truck at midnight. In order for that to happen my husband and I had to carry boxes and furniture along with the movers, who were total 7 days with the company each (two of them), completely inexperienced, and dispatch refused to send them any help. We have called everybody: customer dis-service reps Sarah and Kyle, the last one lied and hung up on me, the dispatcher Marcus who has lied and changed story on us so many times, we have lost count, NOBODY would help us. The only people who cared were the drivers/ movers who are made to work without food or sleep by the company if it was not for us feeding them. DOT should know about that slavery. The drivers go without sleep for periods far exceeding regulations. My 73 year old mother had to sit in the freezing cold to watch the truck to free up the driver so he could move furniture.

Same nightmare with delivery schedule, changing it and lying multiple times, Marcus again. Truck was never weighed, so they had NO idea if the estimate they gave us was correct. As an afterthought they did weigh the empty truck after unloading the furniture, and I found out days later from the driver that the load was lighter than the estimate and the company owed us refund. Never heard from the company about that or compensation we were promised regarding delays. Multiple calls to "compensation specialist" went unanswered". Eventually, thanks to the driver, we got refunded the difference.

Please, for your own peace of mind, do not have ANYTHING to do with this company. They lie, they do not care, they are the worst.Aldo DoSorbo and his multiple companies are now being investigated by US Senate for multiple outrageous instances like this.

Basically because of you as reported by your trusting customers:

a baby is sleeping in a playpen without a mattress, 
a person was not able to get his much-needed operation,
low-income senior citizens became broke, 
people lost their newly-appointed jobs,
some people became massively in debt,
some lost most or all of their treasured belongings,
some irreplaceable belongings were terribly damaged,
some folks became emotionally ill,
a lot of livelihoods are ruined for one reason or another,

..the list of destruction and sadness goes on and on and on.. 

These are not the proud results of a man of honor or a man. 

A caring, decent-living man who works in a sewer has self-respect and honor.  

How can your loved ones be proud of you while knowing the devastation that you cause for others?

Is that being a man of honor or even a man?

You probably laugh all the way to the bank and enjoy a luxurious lifestyle, which is at the misery and expense of others' misfortune that you caused via your business.  How pathetic!

IF your were really smart, you would know how to run a fine business and be an admirable leader in the community, whose peers would hold in high esteem...and a role model, by whom youngsters could learn from towards their future successful, constructive endeavors. 

Turn your life around now.

And make restitution to all those you have harmed, including your loved ones!

You can laugh at this message, but I find nothing funny.

AVL's outstanding webite would entice ANYONE to believe they are a very trustworthy, professional moving company. The website tells of their outstanding AVL vehicles; and the service is so excellent, that all the customer has to do is "relax."

The strategic, caring. sales reps. offer the customer the ultimate assurance ...something that is desperately needed with the confusion and stress of re-locating. SUDDENLY, after the customer pays the deposit and signs the contrant, NOTHING OF THE ABOVE CAN BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

1. AVL is not a moving company.  AVL is a worthless BROKER SERVICE!

2. NO AVL vehicles are used.  The AVL BROKERS CONTRACT INCOMPETENT moving companies!

3. The sales reps. lure and entangle their prey with outright lies!  The supervisors and other personnel compound the lies!

4. Customer service and Supervisory assistance is non-existant!...except for a worthless, consciousless "apology" ...which of course does NOTHING to un-do the shock of the moving vehicle not arriving...

...the horrible feeling of  uncertainty...the relentless question of "what do I do now?"...the emotional and physical drain and suffering that words cannot describe...the anger of trusting other people and then being taken at a most critical time...the re-sorting of extremely important plans...the precious losses --material and otherwise-- that can never be recovered...the irreparable damages in so many ways...the unwarranted problems and monumental inconveniences...the lengthy time it takes to re-store one's life to normalcy...

This is the typically situation consumers face when trying to hire a moving company.

1) you go online and make a request, you are contacted by 5-10 moving companies. you take phone quotes even though the federal government suggeats you get an inhome estimate. Which you wouod not of known if th moving company doesnt gove you the required handouts.

2) you get an inhome and go with the cheapest price.

unfortunately, their moving company names sound like major van lines. Sucks it happened to you. If you were duped its just too bad, if you went with the cheapest quote shame on you.

your doing the right thing by spreading the news. Id suggest going on to The more you post about this company the higher there name will rank on google when someone types there name in. i suggest making compliants on angieslist. whereever. the more you post the more comes up. see if they hqve a facebook and post there too.
