Don't trust these people. They were convicted of racketeering in January 2015 in Reno US district Court. Anyone using these people to collect as a collection agency, they are not licensed. David Alessi is not a licensed attorney for Nevada his partner Thomas Baynard has been disbarred for defrauding people out of their money.  Robert Koenig lives a very charmed life but doesn't work. They people are corrupt. They take people homes that don't pay a few months of Hoa assessments they will auction your home for pennies. If you owe the bank 425,000 to the bank they will sell your home to one of their buddies for as cheap as 6,000.00 they leave the innocent victim with the entire bank loan while David Alessi pockets all this money. In one day at their auctions they can make as much as 10,000,0000 in one day in cash funds. They have corrupt management companies that help them with all this corruption. They are thieves. They went to Law school to cheat people out of their own hard work. All there attorneys are corrupt and likely have some of these stolen properties under fake LLC, trust Corp .They should all be disbarred and put in prison. It's ridiculous that they are in court all day fighting quiet titles their firm only makes money on non judicial foreclosure because nothing they fight makes them any money. They are a joke. If you are a victim of Alessi & Koenig call the FBI if they have taken your home and left you with just the mortgage. File a report with the Attorney General call the federal trade commissioner. These thieves are stealing these properties the majority of the board members are not aware of what these thieves are doing. Call the IRS they probably don't pay takes on all those non judicial auction sales. These people may also be known as ATC collections they can't help ripping people off they are all sick in the head.

 David Alessi claims to have been deposed 200 Times ; however everything that has been said is recorded and despite you thinking they have not found holes is clearly incorrect. It takes at least 5-7 years for the fbi and Dept of Justice to put a strong case together. Just look at the last Hoa corruption that placed Benzer behind bars. Your auctions were fake we all know how you really make your money. David Alessi you have never tried one case In court we all know this but yet you purchased a Malibu Lot and created a huge mansion worth millions and hid it under your sisters Debbie Pike and at times under your ex wife’s name. The office all knows about the corruption and all the innocent people you stole from. You never tell people they are purchasing a law suit Never, in other words the only ones buying at your auctions have money to hire attorneys or are attorneys themselves. You and your crew have cost the systems billions in loses but you went to law school just to learn how to defraud people. Ellis won at a jury trial and you owe her this money do the right thing sell your possessions you earned by stealing and pay all the victims. I feel sorry for you and your attorneys. Soon you will have to face all the mess you made in court and hope soon the DOJ and FBI will be at your door we all hope prison time.

Marisela, why are you posting anonymously? Is it because you don’t want to be sued for defamation? Do you know how many years, yes years, Melinda Ellis was behind in her HOA assessments. That’s also public record. I encourage anyone interested in the Melinda Ellis case to read the actual case. Mr. Bayard’s disbarment had nothing to do with his employment at Alessi Koenig. That is also a matter of public record. Another lie by this poster, who hides behind the cloak of anominity. Alessi Koenig never made $10,000;000 in one day at a public auction. Alessi Koenig never made $1,000;000 or even $100;000 in one day at a public auction. The properties were sold at auction for a fraction of the value they would be worth if purchased through escrow with title insurance, because an HOA sale the buyer does not obtain clear title or title insurance. The buyer basically buys a lawsuit without knowing whether the bank mortgage was wiped out by the HOA sale or not. Alessi Koenig processed over 50,000 collection files. Alessi Koenig conducted approximately 850 public auctions. Half of these public auctions turned into lawsuits to quiet title. Not because Alessi Koenig did anything wrong, but because the investor needed to obtain clear title through the courts. Alessi Koenig filed chapter 7 because it could no longer afford to pay the costs of participating in the lawsuits between the banks and the investors. In fact, during this time all of the major assessment collection firms in the industry either sold their busiess for pennies on the dollar or filed chapter 7. Filing a business chapter 7 is a very rigorous process. The company filing Chapter 7 is put under a microscope. One of the main jobs of the bankruptcy trustee and her attorney is to ensure nothing improper or illegal was going on within the company and that no company assets were hidden. After five years of litigation, the HOA law remains unsettled. David Alessi has been deposed approximately 200 times by bank attorneys. The bank attorneys spend hours at each deposition, trying to poke holes in Alessi Koenig’s foreclosures. If something improper was going on, as alleged by this anonymous poster, it would have surfaced through the Chapter 7 and/or the 200 depositions. This attempt by an ignorant uninformed anonymous poster to destroy a person’s reputation with lies is disgusting.

  The only reason that Reno continues to use you is likely because you in some way own part of them or you offer them kick backs. It’s like hiring a mass murder to babysit your kids, it would not happen !!! What your firm has done is wrong !!! Taking people properties and auctioning them off to your buddies that are attorney so they can make large profits and slit them with you so you can built that Malibu mansion. Yet you never practice law or even claim any income ? You need to quit and stop hurting the public do the write thing and stop your chapter 7 you know that it’s all fake and fraudulent. You have hurt thousands of innocent people.

 David Alessi the only reason you have not been disbarred is because you have never practiced law. It’s like saying I have never won the lottery but I never buy a ticket. David Alessi has never even tried one single case this is the real reason he still has his license. Instead he lets his partner Thomas Bayard be the fall guy and take the hits. Bayard was disbarred this year, it’s a matter of public information not a lie !!!! Alessi & Koenig now parading under a new name : Hoa lawyers group in Las Vegas after filing a fraudulent chapter 7 in Federal Court Nevada all a matter public record. Hundreds leading to nearly one thousand case filings against this rackaterring group of fraudsters. David Alessi has been hiding property and income under his sisters name ( Debbie Pike ). It’s just a matter of time that the department of Justice will see that these group of attorneys co mingled funds for their personal Benefit and file criminal charges and put them all where they belong , behind bars !!!! Steve, Huong, Robert and David Alessi. I can’t believe you all went to law school to defraud innocent people out of their homes just so you all can take lavish vacations, live in mansions drive expensive vehicles at the expense of the victims you stole from. You should all be very ashamed of yourselves. The jury trial was correct please read the transcripts all a matter of public info. Now that Ellis won over 640 k judgement David Alessi refuses to pay her, these are the kind of Rats these attorneys are. These people need to stop practicing law.

The Reno jury in the Melinda Ellis case that found Alessi Koenig liable for civil racketeering was wrong.  It's that simple.  AK's client in the case is one of the largest HOAs in Reno and their HOA manager is one of the most experienced and well respected in the industry.  Both the HOA client and the HOA manager continued to use Alessi Koenig's services long after the erroneous jury verdict.  This would not have been the case if there was any merit to the jury decision.  The property at issue in the case wasn't even foreclosed upon.  Courts and juries are imperfect. 

David Alessi has been a California licensed attorney for nearly 15 years and has no record of discipline from the State Bar.  If the allegations made in this complaint were even remotely true his license would have been suspended or taken long ago. 

In his testimony to an HOA regulatory agency, David Alessi also advocated for a REDUCTION in HOA collection fees and costs.  In fact, Alessi Koenig was the only assessment collection firm in the industry to do so, despite it being against the firm's financial interest.  

This rip off report complaint is likely generated by an upset homeowner who fell behind in their HOA assessments and did not like the consequences of becoming delinquent.  While being upset is understandable, it does not excuse the defamatory comments and spreading of half truths by this author.
