Complaint Review: Alibris, Owls Books
Alibris, Owls Books Poor customer service, inept stock management at best. Possible fraud at worst Internet
No book for nine days; sent email to seller on 11/20 to find out what was going on since no tracking was available.
Received email from seller on 11/20 informing me that standard shipping could take up to 18 days and to wait until then to inform the seller if the book had not arrived.
Sent email to seller 11/20 correcting statement about standard vs expedited shipping.
Received email from seller 11/21 stating that, OOPS, book was never shipped. Book never existed in stock. So sorry, we'll give you back your money honest... Waiting for confirmation of actual refund taking place.
Best case scenario: incompetence. Worst case: fraud. Nothing I can do other than feel stupid about falling for too good to be true
