Alibris doesn't use phones. Shams is hidden behind Alibris. Neither responding about 3 day shipment via USPS placed on 16 January. Giving line of ....well, cheap shipping can take 20 days and we're sorry there's no activity on tracking number 9405510200830574249675. We'll let you know and then silence.............

Book valued over $100....where is it? Did it ever exist? Was it shipped? Is the company bankrupt? PooF! money gone!

not the USPS's fault

AUTHOR: Jack - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, February 04, 2015

Tracer by US Postal Service states the item was never in the US Postal Service's possession. As Sham's is shielded and concealed by Alibris, Alibris stalled for weeks, lied that it was the USPS fault and did nothing to fix the problem, maybe because they could not reach Sham's.

Then they refunded the full amount (still yet to be confirmed) as they say it can take two weeks to show up on the debit card statement. They even had the nerve to say that the more I complained that it would further delay a solution. In the end.......no explanation.......so Alibris feels little reponsibility as a representative for Sham's. Sham's hid their feedback so they may be the whole problem. Would I reorder from Alibris....NO.

total refund offered

I can now wait for up to 2 weeks (after I've waited 20 days). Still no explanation. US Post Office is trying to determine if any parcel arrived at the post offfice. USPS lady says the customer makes the label. Shams and Alibris says it was shippd but I suspect it was not. USPS said it was 3 day Priority which means it should have arrived January 21, 2015. Total refund has been offered and accepted. I'll know in a couple of weeks if it was credited. Called VISA and they put a temporary credit on the my statement. If something isn't right don't expect these goofs to fix it without a few hours work on a computer with the internet and expect a load of useless procrastination.  MORAL: don't buy from an outfit that doesn't offer telephone customer service with a live human on their end.
