This is a classic school scam.  The company finds the name of a coach or athletic director online and then calls businesses in the vicinity of the school claiming that they represent the school and the coach.

Then they try so sell you and ad (in this case on a T-shirt) "you know to help out the kids".  If they sell one ad they have covered the cost of their items to ship to the school.  The will try to sell many ads (10 or so) always playing on the sympathy of the business owner of how they need to help ths school.  If they reach their goals they make upwards of 1000% profit on the junk they are selling and many schools/coaches fall for this hook line and sinker, not realizing the local business that are happy to support them are being fleeced for 10 times the value of the item that is supposedly free to the school.

Today's phone call said they were calling from the school, then admitted that they were calling from several states away but that they had spoken to the coach and she said it was all OK.  The coach is not a woman and they really butchered trying to pronounce his name.

Too bad they had already got to a funeral home and a mental health facility before they called me.  As business owner and a school board member I am doing my best to eradicate this type of scam, that costs schools and communities much needed funds.

Real company Real Scam

AUTHOR: Schools dont want your "help" - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, October 27, 2018

I know that you are a real company running a real scam. That is why I posted it here. If you weren't running a scam you wouldn't have to lie about being associated with the schools. If you really think you are somehow helping school budgets , you are delusional. Let me break it down for you. I am a school and your company charges businesses in my are outrageous amount of money to you so you can send me some free stuff I never asked for or wanted. You didn't help me. You hurt me by taking money from local businesses that want to help the school, but you took there money to help yourself not the school. Now I have a box of stuff with no intrinsic value because it just showed up like spam email with a promise of a free vacation or a spam robocall saying they're with my credit card company an I should press 1 to give them my info or press 2 so I can give them my info. The schools in our area send out letters to local businesses warning them about companies like yours. Because money could actually go to the school and help with things the school wants, but if it goes to you, POOF, it's all gone and nothing benefits the school.

So, I get it. You're OK with running this scam and you have maybe even convinced yourself you are somehow even noble for your redistribution of wealth from charitable business owners to you and your employees pockets. But everyone would benefit from knowing how your scam works. If people knowingly give you money, good for you, but lying for a living is not a noble profession. Sorry for the typos. I am sure there are many as I am fat fingering this on my phone and do not care enough about you to take any more time.

The fisrt thing they do is LIE no more research required.

AUTHOR: No B.S. - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, October 26, 2018

You seem awfully upset defending a company that starts every sales call with a lie. This company has called me several times trying to sell me some kind of extremely overpriced advertising that the school never asked for or wanted. They star the sales call by claiming they are from the school. That is a bold face lie. If you call them on that they they will usually give up on that lie and say well we represent the school. Another complete lie. So you want to shame and insult me for not doing my research,. What a joke. I own a couple businesses in town and I am on the school board. So I know bullshit as soon as it starts flowing from these telemarketers lips. In short. I dont do business with liars and you shouldn't either. If you work for this company should find an honest way to make a living. Did you read my report? It doesn't sound like it. Give it a read. It got a funny story about this company claiming the coach that asked the to call me was a woman. He didn't appreciate that at all.

Thank you for your feedback. It sounds like you have some skepticism of the validity of our company. I would like to reassure you that we are a legitimate company that has been established since 1996. We focus on helping high schools through providing schedule posters, pocket schedules, and other products. We do this by contacting local businesses that would like to put their advertisement on the product which allows the school to get the product for free while promoting school spirit and local business. We believe through this we can increase support for the school programs all while brining in revenue to supplement their budgets. We apologize for any confusion that may have occured in the process of our model being explained, and hope to have a more positive experience in the future it it allows.
